Question About Champion Mastery

So it takes about 30k to reach Rank 5. Will the points accumulated after that point be added on, and taken into account, when higher levels of the system come out? I have 5 champs at Rank 5, and over 300k on my main. So I am just curious if the points will carry over?

(I know, I need a life, but I kinda like my life)
