What do you guys think the main objectives of laning are?

I'm working on a youtube video series to help people get better at laning. My first video of the series will be to explain your objective/ goal of the laning phase. What do you guys think this is?To name a few i know would be 1)Farming 2)Denying the enemy cs 3)Not dying 4)Pressuring when the jungler isn't near your lane 5)Denying enemy cs
