Why not have custom rune sets like item sets?

Seems like the logical thing to do. Have a rune page set to your favorite champs so when you pick them it automatically picks whatever mastery page you have assigned to them but still allow you to edit it in champion select. This would help avoid people from taking the wrong runes on accident, give more time for thoughts on your pick and make it easier for you to make minor changes based on your match-up. I believe this is a much more practical idea than item sets (which we have already) considering runes are a lot less situational than items.

It's especially useful if you main more than a couple champs. If you one trick, you won't really run into that problem.

There are only two ways this would pan out;

You'd still be capped by how many rune pages you own, thus making it actually pointless.

This eliminates the need for rune pages, and Riot then has to reimburse everybody who's bought rune pages.

what if they made it so each champion can have x many rune pages where x is the number of pages you bought? to balance it out, you could have a default of like 1 rather than 2, but then each champion you play can have one

number 1: rune pages exist just buy them.

number 2: will it kill you to have 5 seconds to do your runes? I de much rather address the whole runes changing not replacing the ones you ask it to, as that is the problem right now
