Assassin update is a failiure.

The assassin update is nothing but a failure. Riot must really think costless, mage like range with amazing scalings and god tier all in and disengage potential is fair, because the only assassin who was not destroyed is Zed. Why? Because all they did was give him a stupid fu***** buff, and gut everyone else. Talon was the worst assassin in the game, and now? He still is. His kit is clunky and hes worthless. Rengar? Rengar's issues have just been Amplified. He still one shots from invis, with 0 counterplay. He just does it better now because of bonus %AD. Kha is literally eve now, as he can roam the entire jungle invisible. Must I go on? No? Good, then lets get to the second issue of this. Tanks. Not only do assassins now take 5 seconds to kill, or have 1 shot and if they miss need a minute or more, tanks can still do the job in half the time. Take vi for example. Basic build would be Warrior>Triforce>Steraks>Cleaver> and so on. These are all HP and damage items (besides warrior). At full build, vi would have about 3.5k hp. In that same build, Vi's ult into a Q can immediately do more than half of a squishies HP, in 1 fu***** second, but as a tank that cant be punished for going so deep. Duskblade? New duskblade benifits Kha and Rengar only now. Talon only gets 1 proc on average in a fight. Everything is now clunky and slow, and just worthless on anyone other than LB or Zed, because tanks can do the job 10000 times better, and 1000 times safer.

Yay for shitty mage/ADC players that cry and whine about assassins endlessly until Riot eventually caved and pandered to them.

im convinced the assassin update was just an excuse to mass nerf them

Biggest mass-nerf I've ever seen. I play since season 2. My main was Talon once he was released, played him so much these years, and right now, I'm going on my second main (Vel'koz) because a mage like him can assassinate targets faster than an actual assassin. And I think this is the case of other nerfed assassins as well.

ya i agree, burst mages are pretty much the new assassins. idk whats going on over at riot, but they need new talent, and i mean it.

LB wasn't left in a good spot either. She needs a lot of tweaking and QOL changes. She's basically a trollpick right now. Talon is in a good spot, so is Kata and Rengar.. Khazix is great too.

The rest.. eh....

I don't know how true this is, but the possibility of it being true brings joy to my heart. Laning vs old Leblanc was the closest thing to torture I could think of. Now I can stop permabanning her and ban my counters.

Oh don't worry, her laning phase is even more oppressive.

It's her late game where she turns into a pile of poo because of the 1.5s lockout time. It's a joke.

I have to disagree, Talon is more dangerous now than he ever was, and so is Katarina. Both of them had their brainless point and click gap closers removed however in both cases it was replaced with FAR more mobility. If either one of them fails to kill someone with one combo they have tons of sticking power from the added mobility (Katarina's W Blades with E resets, Talon's Parkour). If you seriously think that they are worse now then you either 1.) aren't good enough to understand how powerful they are and / or 2.) haven't played the reworked champions altogether.

As for the tank issues, Vi is not a tank she's a Fighter / Diver / Skirmisher. AKA basically the same exact thing as Riven, Fiora, & Wukong. She is designed to do a lot of damage because that's her job. A real tank would be Dr. Mundo, Nautilus, & Alistar but I don't see any of them on your little rant so I can safely assume that you do not even realize you aren't complaining about tanks.

As for the Duskblade, I do believe the passive works anytime the enemy team cannot see you. Duskblade still provides movement speed AND armor pen (lethality). On top of all that it even gained a ward disabling passive. Please explain in detail how it became worthless on every champion? I'm inclined to believe you simply do not understand how the item works because if anything it seems more useful on most champions than it was before.

I never said Vi was a tank, I said buying tanky HP AD items, and out damaging everyone when others have to buy raw AD stats to do even a fraction of her damage. It is not fair that someone with 3.5k hp and around 200-300 AD can out damage someone with 1.8k HP and around 500 AD, crit, and Armor pen, just because "they were designed for it". They put 0 effort to get the damage, while others dump all their gold into it.

As for the Talon issue, he is by no means, in a good state right now. As a talon (and riven) 1 trick I can promise you that. Even my friend with 1 mil mastery on Talon dislikes it. They made his roaming stronger, yes. But they failed to give him a way to actually get on someone after the Roam. Take Sol for example. His entire kit is to be a roaming mage. He shoves in lane, roams bot with his E and Q, and gets a mass lane stun, with the range and sticking potential to make it work. Talon? he hops a wall and... walks at you slowly because they made his base movement speed lower..? Yea..thatll sure get the job done.. Talon has good damage, and it allows counterplay, but he has no way of getting to anyone without them being right next to a wall he hasnt marked. His 3 hit passive is also awful. It's damage is nice, yea. But its as if Riot did not even think of how he would proc it. Vayne? 3 autos or 2 autos and a condemn. Gnar? 3 Autos or a boomerang. Ekko? Anything in his kit except his stun, and autos. Talon? Rake and Q. Ya know.. the move that has 2 seconds to walk sideways and avoid..? And the Q which is either his low damage approach, or hard hitting crit if hes somehow in your face all ready. Yea, his ult can too..but unless you're annie and flash ulting, you will never get the initial damage of the ulti out on someone, so only the blades converging will apply the stack, which is also about 2 seconds for the enemy to move, and all of Talons damage was DUMPED into his 3 hit passive, which he can almost never even apply to someone.

Now, as for Duskblade of Draakathar.. Yea you are right, it can be used by anyone in theory. So could mana potions. Those got removed though for, in Riots words "Massively making some champions unfair, while having next to no impact on other mana users". Duskblade can be used on Talon, Zed, hell even leblanc, but it can't be used gold effectively. Kha goes invisible everytime he enters brush (on a relatively short CD) plus his ACTUAL ult. In a skirmish, Kha can go invis 5 to 6 times, meaning 5 to 6 Duskblade procs. Rengar's entire kit relies on bushes or ulting with invis, so if the player is using him correctly, he can get just as many procs as Kha (assuming they arent dead) But as for Talon and Zed.. they are meant to start from a brush (or invis in talons case) and run into a lane. On average, you will get a single proc for an assassination..and while the stats on them may be good, Id be better off getting the Defensive item (i honestly forgot the name) which gives slightly less AD, a spell shield, and then the same lethality and movement speed stats, which on Talon and Zed, is NOT something you want, because your kit encourages you to go in, and kill your way out or die. Less AD for a spellshield hurts those two more than anything, but it's the only "Viable" item to replace duskblade.

I wouldn't say it's a failure. I played a game against a fed Rengar and it didn't feel hopeless. Yeah he could kill the ADC when they got caught out, but the delay in burst gave the ADC some counterplay.

So yeah, it seems like a success.

Spooky AP Kitty1 votes

I agree with everything. but Rengar in laning phase now is weak. he has no sustain. only long term combat power. basically you can only jungle now

Boy, its been a day. Give it a week before you start whining, at least.

Considering I 1 tricked talon to plat, and my friend has 1mil talon points, and we both cant even understand it, the rework was a failure. they said they wanted to keep it as similar as possible.
