Syndra Changes Discussion

Hi! I'm someone who has played Syndra quite a lot and has enjoyed her a lot since her release. She plays as this fun burst champion with a unique mechanical kit. Honestly I've played Syndra for a long time and I'm a little upset with the upcoming change. They spoke about how they were going to make her abilities feel as if they were actually going to evolve come the mage update and literally nothing changed. Her Passive is exactly the same, with the annoying process of having to wait till level 9 before you even get a taste of her Passive. Except now we lack a good portion of burst against champions in the mid game that was so very appreciated previously. Whilst her new kit will greatly accommodate her ultimate, which in the past felt lack luster, the no longer existent level 9 power spike will be greatly missed. The Ultimate caps. at 7 so having 10 balls on the field wouldn't matter in the slightest which is something that may be possible now.

In the current assassin-rife meta she lies as a very weak choice in a lot of scenarios. High Pick champions like Zed and Yasuo (At least in lower ELO.) Counter her entire kit with the click of a button. I'm not an experienced League of Legends player and I am legitimately curious as to whether this is the true extent of Syndra. Whilst I acknowledge she is an Extremely powerful mage in a lot of situations, I cannot overcome the fact that her lack of mobility and safety makes her a very poor choice majority of them time and you're better off picking a mage with more Turret Taking Capabilities, Mobility, Safety and CC. Which is not very difficult.
