The REAL reason ADC feels weak

Ok, I don't play ADC. I play two other lanes (not important which) and now also, as a consequence of autofill, support.

That's the real problem with the ADC role right there. ADCs aren't getting real supports. They're getting jungle mains. Shit, I can tell you the last 2 ranked autofills I got i played Galio. I'm sure the ADCs weren't pleased....especially when I walked away with most of the kills in the lane.

Thats right, you stick a jungler in bot lane as support, the ADCs are going to have a shit time. Not because we're not trying, but because that isn't the role we've played 1000's of games on. Two roles are completely different than all the rest. Support and jungle. You stick someone who plays top and mid at Jungle, they'll suck. Guaranteed. Similarly, you stick someone who plays jungle/top at support, they're going to suck.

But their sucking at support is going to have a drastically larger impact on the ADC than anyone else.

Before handing out a single buff to an ADC, Riot needs to temporarily remove autofill to see if things improve.

This is actually not the real problem. ADCs are considered weak in environments where autofill does not even exist, more than anywhere else. More structured games tend to be the only places where things this small have any measurable effects, meta just trickles down to matchmade games without anyone understand why it is what it is. But it is cute how you admit you have no idea what you are talking about, then go on to make a nice long theory. At least you spent some time thinking about it.

It sounds like you are bad at playing autofill-support, honestly.

Except the problem exists at the highest elos, too. Their supports play support professionally and adc is still in a horrible spot.

The problem is the mobility and damage creep (especially keystones and new champions/reworks) in conjunction with the "EVERYONE MUST SNOWBALL OFF OF BOT SIDE OBJECTIVES!! GANGBANG THE ADC!! WE WILL HEAR THE LAMENTATIONS OF THE SUPPORT!!" meta.

You all wrong. The problem with ADC is they cannot bust tanks and tanks can out duel them. its that simple

ADCs feel weak because you can be 11/2 and the 3/4 zed can still pop you instantly.

However supp is the easiest thing to play so don't give that crap on I can't play supp. You just don't want to hell most of the community doesn't want to play supp nor likes playing supp

I main top -- after maining support for 2 seasons. And at bronze-gold tiers I can tell you I do a better job in the jungle than most jungle mains. My kda might not LOOK like it -- but that's because I use my leads to snowball my teammates -- often at expense of my life. If I can get a double kill and escape but we lose fight or I can get team an ace for only my death, I'll take the second option every time. I actually believe if you play more than just carry junglers: burst (lee, kha, rengar) or aa (yi, shyv, xin) you should actually have a strong understanding of how most different roles work and be able to play them decently. It's not hard to do a passable job as leona, lulu, soraka, blitz, morgana. I think it is good to have everyone play support because:

  1. People should come to appreciate all the hidden things supports (and good junglers) do that usually go unnoticed.
  2. People need to appreciate how hard it is to play a true support (sona, janna, etc.) from behind and not feed when team doesn't give you any help.
  3. Being good at support let's you better understand macro play and makes you stronger in a diverse array of roles for other lanes/positions. Learned how to play poke sup like brand or zyra? You are a better mage mid or top now. Learned how to properly engage and focus carries as leona or thresh? Now you are a better top lane engage tank/bruiser. More examples exist...
