The new ranked system is a shameless moneygrab.., and other reasons Riot doesnt deserve you anymore.

Any time a company starts using dodgy language for a change that will benifit them far more than the majority of their customers, you know things have gone sour.

"Dynamic Queue" AKA If you want to enjoy the game and climb in ranked, bug your friends to play LoL and then Riot gets more $$$

Who really thinks anyone that only plays solo will ever reach the high ranks with this system? Even IF the system matches multi queues with other multi queues, you are STILL in the same ladder as the 5 man toxic pub-stomper team. Eventually you're going to run into players that have ranked up due to multi queue. Then get ready to have teams of nerds on either side of the map gang up on you.

Obviously you're going to get ganged up on and blamed more than before. Think it's fun to have your whole team blaming you for a loss because you "didnt gank enough"? Try it with 4 douchebags co-ordinating on mics to harass you. Not that you would even need to do something wrong to get harassed. People will naturally gang up on an outsider for any reason at all. Maybe you dont have a mic, or you didnt want to join them on teamspeak, then you're the reason they lost. Also enjoy those mob troll reports. :)

On a related note; It's been clear for a while now that Riot bases most of their design and balance choices off of "proffessional play". Competitive gaming seems to be a big cash cow for them, and they have all but stopped thinking about the solo player experience even when it comes to designing champions and balancing the game.

For 5 years Riot avoided making champions that could forcably interact with their own teammates because of obvious trolling potential, but now we get dumped on with a slew of new champs that can do just that. Co-ordinated play with fully premade teams(hint hint bring your friends) will benifit from these champs, and clutch flashy plays will be abound. If you're a solo player however, these champs more likely offer new ways for people to troll and bully you. They also offer new ways for bad players to hurt their own team. Maybe Bard really thought it was a good idea to ult the enemy team just as his fiddlsticks ulted in.

The take home lesson is, Riot Does Not Care About 90% Of Their Player Base.

If you're a silver, gold, plat, if you dont even play ranked, if you only play solo, Riot isnt interested in making a game for you. They dont need to, in fact it is more profitable for them if the game punishes you for being a casual player, and not nagging your friends to play.

So dont bother giving feedback on design choices, your enjoyment of the product is not the goal of Riot's new design.

..the new ranking system is fucking amazing and it solves about 70% of the common problems people bitch about on these forums. Seriously. Shut up. and that is coming from someone who has sworn to never spend another penny on this shit company.

Since you started off by plucking some bullshit numerical value out of your ass to describe how many of the "common problems" this solves. (It doesnt solve any of them btw) , I dont think you're credible enough to take seriously.

First people complain about Riot not putting up skins so people can spend their money.

Then other people complain about how a queue type is a money grab on a free to play game...

What's next?

"There's no longer a penalty for players ranking together, so the benefits of grouping up will always prevail"

This means "bring your friends and their money" It's not about fair competition, it's about money. So very trivially simple to see.

No? It means they stopped putting duo partners against slightly better opponents.

Tencent and their constant need for more stuff we can buy is the money grab, not a reworked queue system that gets around many of the problems the current system has.

You say it's simple to see, but you're looking in the wrong direction.

all arguments aside, i wont lie, i have never spent as much money on a pay to play game as i have on league. The average player will spend far over what a monthly fee or one time purchase would cost.

it could be actually be argued that their biggest form of income is the fact that the game is "free to play".

I wouldn't put free to play in quotes. The literal definition of the term is exactly what League is. We've added onto that term over the years, but it doesn't change the fact that you can play for no cost.

The fact that they make so much money off of it while not requiring us to pay, to me at least, speaks very positively of them.

Maybe you just need to play better games. =P

I played the original Guild Wars for 7 years. No subscription, but it had three linked base games, an expansion, and you had to pay for extra character slots/storage slots in game. I payed the release price for each and every game, and easily spent three times as much on it than I have on League in the process. Looking back I don't regret any of those bills.

League I'm not so sure about. Right now I don't think I've spent too much on it, but whether I'll agree with that a few years after I stop playing is another matter. I'm not really getting anything out of paying besides the feeling that I've shown my support to a game I enjoy. At least it's better than DLC...

Sorry for the long reply. I just got carried away on the topic and felt like talking about it.
