A possible answer to projectile blocking
A common issue many players have with Yasuo's wall and, less frequently, Braum's, is that when they block a projectile, they simply delete it from the game. This feels particularly bad when using a costly ult (Ornn's, for example) and having it get nullified by an ability on a much shorter cooldown, particularly when one of the champions with that ability is manaless, and can therefore use it anytime. It also feels bad on especially large projectiles, which get nulified if even a pixel connects with the wall. Here's what I propose as an alternative, using Wind Wall as an example:
Wind Wall: Yasuo creates a gust of wind that travels in the target direction, causing him and all allies to become untargetable to harmful effects passing through the wall from the other side while near it. (~500-600 proximity radius)
(Wind Wall no longer blocks incoming enemy projectiles)
The idea here is that Yasuo would still be able to deploy the ability to defend himself and allies against projectiles, but would instead cause himself to dodge the ability, which could then pass through him and hit something else, instead of negating it outright. He'd retain the same overall strength/weakness profile against opponents, who would still not want to use a big projectile ult against him alone, but his means of defending himself could be closer to dashing out of the way, instead of deleting the opponent's projectiles. I'm less sure about this, but it could also perhaps help from a technical perspective, where there'd be less weirdness relating to which effects are coded as projectiles and which are not (Yasuo can currently negate some really weird stuff, including healing particles or Lulu's polymorph, which is coded as a projectile).
With Braum, the effect would likely be a lot simpler, considering the shield only blocks projectiles from the front:
Unbreakable: Braum raises his shield in the target direction. Allies near and behind Braum become untargetable to all harmful effects passing through the shield, while he intercepts them. (Insert text about how Braum nullifies/reduces damage and gains movement speed for the duration). (~500-600 proximity radius).
What do you think?
