I have nothing against people who try something they seen.
First, I want to say I'm no professional, I'm happy being between Plat and Gold every season getting my Victorious Skin and so forth. I win my games by mostly supporting or I feel like watching the world burn I'll play some Teemo. One thing I have seen that gets under my skin more than people who "magically main a champion when a new skin is released." Is when People do the most odd ball builds in game because they saw either someone do it in streaming or Esports.
Now don't get me wrong, in no way I'm saying don't ever do those things. When Tank Akali was a thing I tried it but before going to rank I at least PRACTICED it. But now, I've seen more AD Kennen that makes me miss when IE use to Stack and play Crit Plank again. Don't get me wrong, I've seen the effectiveness of it, however I have no lost a single lane against an AD kennen, at the same time I have no won a game with an AD kennen on my team.
Literally rushing a thornmail against him shuts him down 100%. I just don't see any effectiveness. Yes he has a stun but about time he pulls a stun off the teamfights are over. He has an early game abuse top lane but there are more counters to it.
And again, I'm not venting or complaining. Hell I've done Tank Soraka top lane against Rekentons and won but only reason I've done it was because I KNEW what the heck I was doing...and that's what I feel like what's going wrong now. People see something very powerful but fail to understand you still have to know how to play it..
