Please bring back Team Builder

When I play normals I'd like to play the champion and role that I choose. It isn't fun doing the "must be in a 5 man premade or get your role based on a coin flip." Do pro players show up at LCS and get their roles assigned on the spot, or do they go in knowing where they will be playing?

Also, queue times are no better. I just waited 8 minutes in queue to play a role I really didn't want to play. In Team Builder I'd wait around that amount of time but actually get the role I ENJOY playing.

tbh comparing lcs to solo q is stupid. a more accurate comparison is either a) do lcs players get to pick what they want to play when they q up as 5? or b) compare it to ranked teams, where yet again you are a full premade so you get to pick the role you want. lcs is essentially ranked teams on an extremely high level and not really comparable to solo q but then again as soon as i post this you're gonna disregard everything i say and insult my rank so what do i know?

In lower elo like Bronze/Silver/Gold roles don't really matter because no one actually mastered any roles at all yet. In higher elo people actually mastered roles. So if you are going against someone that is a mid main and you aren't a mid main it can be a bit of a pain. If I was in bronze - low plat I probably wouldn't care much because I could play any role at that level. But being Diamond it is kind of a pain in the ass to get forced to play a role that isn't my main against someone that actually does main it.

Comparing LCS to bronze level of play, yea, doesn't make sense. Comparing LCS to high level of play - makes complete sense.

problem is though that in lcs it's the equivalent as queueing up as a 5 man premade against another 5 man premade, so they always get their role cause they are essentially a premade.

Yea, but this is doable in a solo q environment as well. I have 8 minute queue times with the new system. With team builder I had around 10 minute queue times. I'd rather wait the extra 2 minutes and get my role....

if it's do-able why not do it then? be just like the lcs and do a 5 man premade, get your preferred role. don't get me wrong i loved teambuilder i did most of my games on there but this new champ select imo is better design wise it just needs a few tweaks here and there and it will be fine imo.

At your elo there are millions of players, easy to find people at your skill level to group with. At my elo there are only a few thousand, isn't as easy to find a full group of people that are always going to be on. Since this isn't LCS, shouldn't be required to play with a full group all the time.
