Not letting this go
Custom item slots.
It's unnecessarily tedious to drag
or
to the space you're used using them on every game.
I don't get the downvotes, I really don't.

I've thought about this, but it changes a little depending on priority (if I get something I need a faster reaction with, I move it to the easiest to use button regardless of what I normally place there). It's hard to say whether this would be a feature worth putting in the effort to develop (don't always assume a simple feature is simple to create).
Ho hum. That's a fair objection. And one that probably made me let this go Thanks for the input!
Tell me more about your first world problems*[slayer-jinx-unamused]*

The only thing I agree with is having a special spot for sight wards, ONLY because then your teamates will be more inclined to buy it and ward more.
You don't exactly have much else to do when walking back to lane.
It takes all of a second while you are watching the map.
Takes a second to change summoner spells too. Yet threads about smiteless junglers remain strangely popular. Yet Riot explicitly made a change that retained sums, runes and masteries after a dodge.
Also, walking top allows you to check out the rest of the map.
The main difference is that if you forgot to take Smite, you were completely screwed for that entire game. You couldn't purchase the jungle items (so clearing was horrid and you were always behind in experience) and you couldn't secure objectives.
In comparison, the worst this that will happen if you don't change your item's location is that you will screw up once (maybe miss a kill and/or die), then change it before you respawn.
They aren't comparable due to the massive difference in impact and the ability to remedy the issue in-game.
If you forget to take your runes and masteries, you're often screwed in the same sense though.
Im pretty sure the item slots provided are customizable, hence why you move your items into different slots so its easier for u to use active abilities.
I mean before the game even starts, something that allows you to designate which item you want where. Just like you can create custom builds for your champions.
So what happens if you normally have
or
on '2', but you also normally have
on '2', and if you're support you put
on '2', but then you get into a game where you buy all of those and they're in your inventory at the same time?
Yeah, it sucks to finish Hourglass then forget to move it to the right button, but it seems like you can get into a lot of situations where something's not on the right button regardless, even with a system that tried to fill them it would make mistakes.
I think I'd rather see items with active components (like
) not move when you upgrade them, as that's more likely to mess you up.
You'd rather have a lesser version of what I'm suggesting? You people...
It would improbable as all get-out to not have it be on the right button with what I'm suggesting. But convenience is frowned upon in high society, it would seem.
Improbable is having only 15 champions and all 15 being picked or banned, leaving you in a situation where you've got nothing to pick for ranked.
Having a leftover
when I complete my early
?That's not "improbable".
I'm curious how you imagine configuring such a system. Do you just go through every active item in a screen similar to the Custom Item Sets one and drag them to the preferred spot?
With what I suggested, it'd be "impossible", yes.

The active items you want them on, at least. Same as always if you don't.
