Stashu is an example on how a rework is done.

Seriously, he's trying to make the cass rework well.........work. I don't play cass but the way he responds to feedback and tries to make a middle ground is good.

@SmashGizmo Take notes, this is how you do a rework.

Do you work at Rito and know you're screwing a beloved champ? Are you tired of reworking it? Are you pressured by negative downvotes cause it flaws everywhere? And don't want to listen to players feedback? No?

Then I have the correct solution for you!

Do not rework it, leave it, and quit! its easy! its simple! and its free!

But if you take the phone and call now, we will give you a decent farewell with sugar on top! for free! Do not hesitate! Just do it! we are waiting!

If he did respond to Cass feedback then he'd change Cass passive accordingly to what Cass fanbase wants. Or at least introduce other mechanics on her passive to satisfy Cass devoted players.

On other hand we have pretty much the same thing as at her beggining of rework with just slightly bigger numbers.

No substantive poison DOT 95% focus on E..

@Charles Barklius I really dunno what to say except HULOLWROTF (heavy ultra lol while rolling on the flor). Looks like olafs rework is somehow similar to Cass. Yet you think that we "bad ones".

It must be sarsasm. It just has to be xD

and he's going to change it! for patch 4.21 they wanted to bring her to good balance state power wise, then go deeper into her passive since it's much work complicated work and it takes time.

and ya'll bitching about "killing" her poison mage identity, poison is just a damage type, it could also be called something different and do the same thing, so technically she never was poison mage, since it never did anything on top of damage, just slower than a burst.

After checking your post history i can say you enjoy "new" cass. That's nothing wrong with it. Where did you picked that "she never was poison mage" argument? From 1st day she was intruduced in 12/14/2010 till her rework her kit was focusing on poison. 4 years. And you give me "she never was poison mage"?!

Wtf is wrong with you dude. Seriously. Your argument is so invalid that i'd make Stephen Hawking look like most healthy person in the world.

as I said earlier, her poison is just a name they gave to her DoT, it's not like it got anything outside of it. I can say Swain's E and Q are poison too, since they are working the exact same way like cass' DoT. it just fit the concept of a snake that her damage will be called poison.

It seems like people associating poison damage with something that killing slowly rather than bursting down, but in order to make a true poison mage it should do something more than damage, it should have extra effects based on how long the poison staying on the target, since real posion slowly destroying the systems and causes the victim to die. Cass never had this on her kit that's why I don't associate her with a poison mage.

P.S. I know her fan base doesn't really like the new cass, but as far as it goes, but just from a conceptual perspecitve, if a snake bites you(E) and injecting more poison into your body, you'll die faster from the poison(bonus damage on poison), isn't it fits the serpent/poison mage?

umm... I really don't care about you denial, you call it poison or w/e, doesn't change the fact that it's just a name glued on a DoT ability, like on many other champions.

it's pathetic how people calling an ability that did it's damage in 3 ticks instead of one burst the core part of a champion

Saianna4 votes

I just played Cass. You can check on lolking

Cassiopeia is f*king garbage

Ap MissFortune was kiting me. Ap Misfortune dealt MORE damage Ap Misfortune was usefull for whole team Ap Misfortunes "make it rain" dealt 10x more damage than her maxed W.

This rework is re-tar-ded. She is not f-king rambo. She cannot spam ** low range ** E because she gets stunned almost next second. And because she has low range you ** have to ** build either alot of hp or tankish. So she doesn't have AP for her E to kill. She is just ** unfun to extremes ** She has no place in current meta.

Any champion can kick her in rear without any punishment.

Poison matches perfectly for Dot. She's snake lady. He has SNAKES instead hair. For 4 years she was (poison) DoT champion. Now Stashu came, took DoT out, forced players to pick only 1 path. E or GTFO. In my whole experience with LoL i had never been as disgusted and annoyed by Rioter as i am now. And i saw alot of shitty reworks.

I demand a goddamn refund.

k mate, you seem to get all on tears, calm down. I played cass 10 games on this patch and didn't lose a single one. if ap miss fortune doing better that the current cass riot's balance team should really take care of her, might be the next Warwick of soloQ.

her E range is higher than the autoattack range of most ad carries, and it seems they are perfectly fine, so is cass.

as build goes, seraph's, rylai and hourglass working just fine for me, and if you really need more defense you can get another defensive item to finish your build as you already hitting over 1k ap.

poison matches a snake, but that's exactly it, the gave to her DoT a fitting name, nothing more than that.

Saianna4 votes

Sorry mate but that (hopefully) last game as cass gave me trauma.

I'll never try her again.

About this part: poison matches a snake, but that's exactly it, the gave to her DoT a fitting name, nothing more than that.

I just want to say: nothing more was needed. She was just fine the way she was. Noone asked for some lazor shooting immortal thing with w/e you want to add. She was juuust fine..

I agree

It's just that a small minority are soo butt hurt that they can't spam Q in lane for all game anymore so they just complain all day

He's done an excellent job of following up on the changes. He did a horrible job of communicating the rework to the playerbase, and changed her without informing, or gaining consent from, her player base.

These changes are a middle-of-the-pack rework.

The rework was horrible and still needs fixing. But he really started talking to the community, which is a good thing. However, he tends to ignore a lot (yea, there is much feedback - but he really cherry picks what HE likes, not what the majority wants)

DemiluniS3 votes

the majority is playing her without complaints and enjoying her, while the minority is sitting on the forums and crying about how the miss to spam her Q in lane to force the opponent to retreat

Raptamei4 votes

The community wants one thing: a full revert.

Stashu refuses to revert her.

So no, he's not listening at all.

Quepha4 votes

no, it really isn't because you have to consider the entire rework process and the cass rework still gets an F for how it was handled for the first couple months.

you DO NOT release a rework that players do not like at all when it's on the PBE you DO NOT go radio silent for weeks after the rework when it has been shown that the champion is currently glitched to uselessness and the playerbase still hates you DO NOT release a rework right before worlds when you won't be able to patch it while you're all taking a break to watch worlds, and then you get back to work and it's pre-season time so you don't want to patch her for EVEN LONGER because you're all busy with your zany pre-season changes you DO NOT forget to double check your paperwork so your builds have to wait another full patch cycle to hit the dev environment you DO NOT take FIVE GOD DAMNED PATCHES TO GET A CHAMPION BACK SOMEWHAT CLOSE TO WHAT PEOPLE ENJOY

cass rework gets an F. maybe an F+ for effort.

He's sticking with it because leaving it off for the Live Balance Team to handle would be a dick move at his co-workers.

His goal was to put Cass into a state where she can be changed and tuned easier, which is what the LBT likes. But he left her kit in such a sad shape that I (and others) would not be surprised that he's been straight up ASSIGNED to sticking with our naga-lady until she gets into a more appropriate position (it be a bad assignment, cause the end-goal is debatable at best, undiscernible at worst).

Really annoying to see all the Cass players complaining that Riot doesn't listen when stashu has been responding to their feedback

Meanwhile SG increased Olaf's W AS after we told him AS doesn't work on a champion that has to move + spam Q/E and then he left

vscAloha2 votes

Stashu was listening ish early, then really picked up his game as it progressed. Glad he pulled through

Earl Eulrich2 votes

Well i tend to agree, he actually really makes an effort right there...not hitting everything right, sure (i´d always prefer a q/w-centric Cassio over a e-centric) - but at least he keeps on communicating through all the criticism and strives to make everyone happy. That´s sth. a lot more Rioters can really learn from him (looking at you, narrative).
