Toxic Players
I just want to thank Riot for taking the time to punish ME for having had enough of the other toxic players in this game and responding to them in the same way they're dishing it out all of the time. ONE game. One time. Chat ban. For real. How pathetic.
I've watched dozens of friends leave this game over the years because your community becomes increasingly toxic because you use a computer to handle punishments and as long as they don't get too many punishment votes or use certain phrases, most of your toxic players can get away with trolling and flaming pretty hard for quite a while.
The second someone stands up to them in defense of themselves or their teammates, you punish that person, though. That makes zero sense at all.
Since you give away blue essence like candy now, put the people back in charge. Let the community be rewarded for punishing players properly again. The Tribunal made papers and magazines across the country because of it's effectiveness and you were proud of it. And then you removed it's impact and made people not want to participate because a computer was going to get the credit. Look how well that's going.
You KNOW the community has gotten steadily worse and you're trying bs systems that give temporary icons that have no gameplay impact, no permanence, and don't really incentivize players to maintain an honorable standing. After all, if we're trying to rank up and we have KDA trolls throwing games to get mastery, we have no way to manage that and no recourse because reporting it won't do a thing.
And when I received my punishment I only get MY part of the chat, not the other players so I can't even follow this up and prove that the other player was exceptionally toxic and that what little I said wasn't even close to relevant and contained no hate speech or threats of any kind. Chat ban logs should continue the full chat log or nothing at all.
Fix your system Riot. You had it right once upon a time. Why you broke it for a few bucks is beyond me when I see players leaving in droves.
