what's actually the counter play. And no, don't only give specific champs that just so happen to have an easier time with her. Like what. Give what is actually a counter play against zyra. It doesn't matter what comp the team has as soon as she steps into the lane you respect her or you die. One root = 3/4's of your health gone, and attempting to take out the plants themselves will just make you lose 1/4th of your health. The roots she has have such good range and hitboxes that you could just probably just randomly throw it and it'd still hit. Accompanied with all of this her ult does big damage and has a knockup so if you get hit by that then good luck.

What is the counterplay to her? Because right now after all the Zyra games I've had to deal with I've just been perma banning her to not deal with her bullshit.

Both zyra and brand are broken and need to leave bot lane.

i have less issues with zyra , more with brand.

zyra is far from broken, she has a lot of poke and zone control but if she misses her root its very easy to all in her, she is very slow and squishy easy to kill.

don't really feel confident all inning her when her plants are doing a shitload of damage every time I get close to them tho

then you play stupid passive get out of lane phase and hopefully dont give free kills.

if you are facing a zyra as a support i suggest a healer so you can spam heal vs her poke and keep u and the adc in lane.

taking second wind and revitalize as a healer will help regen hp as she pokes.

This. People ask for counterplay, but refuse to play passive/defensive or counter pick if they’re are picking after. Heal/shield support and focus on healing her poke, not trying to go toe to toe with her.

If you dodge her snare and she used two seeds with it, you have about 10-20 seconds of her being useless. Have your support counter pick her. Nothing wrong with having to respect her damage in lane, no different than having to position correctly against an assassin.

most players if they cant blindly pick their champ and blindly build and just play as they always do they think its unfair and to alter any of these to a match up they dont consider counter play.

zyra support isnt new it has been there since season 5. is she a pain in the ass? sure. but there is clear counter play to her. me personally i really like picking leona into her with ignite and wait for her to waste her root.

she is typically bad vs champs with mobility /dashes such as a leona E Q combo cuz its usually too quick for her to be able to land her root. part of the reason she got pushed out of mid lane into bot.

Zyra is one of the most immobile champions of league of legends.

Compared to other champions that can dash, teleport, flash and do all kinds of crazy stuff she just walks and has a delayed AoE CC as an ult. Zyra was forgotten for years and now people suddenly remembered her and cry rivers.

Not to mention she's really weak versus assasins that can just walk all over her if you dont have a zhonya

Depends on how you build her on the move speed.

Zyra does NOT need to be immobile and in fact does FAR better when she's not.

item 2065 item 3907 item 3100 item 3089 item 3905 is actually extremely viable on her.

item 3156 pretty much destroys Zyra.

And no. E does not = 3/4 of your HP. Zyra has some of the weakest up front damage of any mage in her kit, at only 50/70% AP scaling. Her Base damage is tier 3. The difference is in range, and the time you waste dealing with plants a lot of the time, and that her kit easily enables Electrocute or Dark Harvest or Comet hits.

Like all major minion masters in the game, she suffers from weaknesses to stealth.

Double damage application skills also are antithesis since they instantly kill her plants.

Divers like Kha Zix or Riven or Kai Sa generally destroy Zyra because her skills all have a small delay, and theirs do not.

Blitz may not always win lane, but he WILL win the game. His damage output, and near death Barrier time horribly with Zyra trying to kill him. She's expended her entire kit just trying to get him to 20% HP, only for his barrier to pop up and give him an effective 1400 more HP to burn through.

Meanwhile, his double damage E +Q + R ensure that as long as he has a Sheen item, he will kill her before she kills him.

Hey bro , if she misses her E . That's your window she's imobile and thats her most reliable cc . But a smart zyra will hold her E until its a guaranteed land. If you want to beat her you need to play around her E cooldown .

or play Blitzcrank Alistar Thresh and hard engage level 2 forcing her to either flash or die THEN the lane should be easy as she should sit back
