So we know the 4th assassin in the Big 4 for the assassin rework is AP..,

So let's go and figure out how Riot is going to change Fizz. Honestly, unless by some miracle (for me since I'm a satanist and love Fizz) the last big 4 assassin is Akali, we all can assume it's Fizz. So, in the comments, people should say what they think about Fizz (and Akali just in case) and how they would rework them without ruining their identity.

For me:

Fizz: As someone with over 100,000 points on Fizz (I know that's not much, but it's my highest out of all my champions) I love Fizz's kit. You don't have to be a genius to know that most people put Fizz on the same level as Teemo as being irritating to play against or simply being Satan. Their are two clear reasons for this, the first being his W and the second being his E.

Starting with his W, I like Fizz's W. The feeling of watching the enemy burn is so satisfying, especially when the enemy flashes and still dies. However, his W doesn't really make sense in his kit, or at least the DoT portion. Rendering you try to keep his (once upon a time until people started building luden's) build of Lich Bane Zhonyas Morellonomicon, or at least keep Lich Bane as a main part of his kit, I do think that his W should amplify his auto attack damage, or at least his Q damage. Since Fizz doesn't have an escape when his E is on cooldown it feels good to be able to keep doing damage in fights. Additionally, his active W is really helpful at csing under tower since generally Fizz gets pushed in by pretty much everyone early and is generally forced to cs under tower. If you feel like Fizz's W doesn't have a form where it's fair to play against while feeling good as Fizz, another damaging ability in conjunction with probable nerfs to his other abilties or a spell that is more defensive (rendering his E gets a change to be less defensive) would also be good if he stays as a diving assassin who generally is in the middle of a fight trying to kill people.

Moving on to his E, truthfully I think his E is in a good place and moreso needs better indicators on it, When I say this, I'm talking about the damage area. I can't tell how many times people have gotten away even though I landed on top of them with my E just because it didn't do damage or how I can be not close enough to someone when I E to hit them, but somehow it still hits them, slows them, and inevitably gets them killed. In short, I think that his E should have an indicator sort of like Lux E that shows the hitbox so not only the fizz player knows what the hitbox is but the enemy does too, or maybe making it he when he jumps on the pole it shows the range in which he could jump to the enemy so they can get used to knowing how far away to be to not get an E to the face. I'm sure if you (Riot) save his E you will have some better idea than I had to balance it, this is just my two cents.

Next, his passive. Personally, as much as even Riot thinks Fizz's passive needs work, I do think it should stay on his kit, even if it's like Graves' True Grit that was moved to his E. Ignoring unit collision just seems very important on his kit considering how much he's diving on top of people that could body block him. Additionally, his natural damage reduction from autos is crucial in the early game as generally he takes autos from just about every ranged champion in lane and would get bullied out by level 3 without it. If you were to look for a new passive, I don't really know. I'm just worried that he could end up being useless until level 6 (or even the end of laning phase barring roams) if he had no way to sustain himself in his early levels.

His Q to me feels like it could be a good spell if it weren't a slave to his W. The base damage and scaling on his Q are abysmal and if his W were to change, a simple buff to the damage would suffice in keeping it relevant, or a nerf depending on how big the W change is.

His R, like his Q, doesn't really need much, but I do think you (Riot) should look at that hitbox. The latch on latches on when it shouldn't and doesn't latch on when it should A LOT. Also, I don't know if this still exists, but I remember near the end of season 5, I can recall at least two moments where a champion would go invulnerable (Zhonyas), I would ult where they were standing in Zhonyas, and then as they got out of Zhonyas they would be able to dash away without the ult latching on if they were fast enough. This happened as I recall with a Katarina and a LeBlanc E and W (respectively).

Akali: If somehow Akali is the last one and not Fizz, I can't input anywhere near as many ideas as with Fizz, but I can say maybe making her ult sort of like Diana's ult where when Akali marks someone with her Q and ults them, it refreshes the cooldown (or reduces it) as it would make her first rely on using Q on people, and second would make her less hit level 6 and be able to stick on to anyone with 3 ult stacks.

I truly hope someone found this useful and I would love to hear your ideas, not that I can make them happen, but to give Riot ideas on what to do.

P.S. I didn't think it would be Ekko due to his kit being new and unique or Kat as she is League's reset queen, but feel free to talk about them too.

P.S.S. LeBlanc isn't here due to being the third of the four "Big 4" (supposedly).

Hmmm...accordin to what I saw about it on the announcement board its probably Akali, not Fizz. Eve is also AP but they stated that she is not among big 4 because she needs a complete overhoul.

akali is out. shes getting a vgu, and ekko probably wont be it either because if it wasnt for all that tank ekko bs, he would be pretty healthy and he is pretty distinct. its kat or fizz. if i had to give out % chances

Kat- 50% Fizz- 47% Ekko- 3% Akali- 0%

If I recall correctly, Riot mentioned that their idea of an assassin should be a champ with the ability to ''get in, burst/kill a target, then get out'' in a relatively safe manner, or at least having the opportunity to do it. Obviously, that doesn't take counterplay out of the equation.

Ekko for example has the ability to move in with and AoE stun, and a passive which allows him to deal good amounts of damage, and his ult is always a safe way to safety. The counterplay to Ekko is that people know where ekko would be if he ulted. Ekko is too recent, and his kit, while being overloaded, can be tweaked through numbers rather than changing the actualy abilities. So I think we can exclude him at this point.

Katarina has a pretty good shot at it, but I feel like her kit offers some counterplay, and requires a minimal ammount of calculations to ''get in and get out'' for a kill. Her passive rewards her, for calculating her all-ins properly, with an option for escape or to engage a new target. Her ult can deal devastating damage, but is counterable by virtually any form of cc.

Fizz is annoying, but his kit allows him to go in and get out. That is the whole point of an assassin. Obviously, they should do something about how often he can perform these actions. But overall I don't think fizz is all that broken or out of the assassin spectrum.

This said, I believe Akali will receive a full VGU. Her kit is pretty linear. She goes in, and in only. She has lots of mobility in a skirmish, but in a 1v1 scenario, with no minions around, Akali is the most straightforward champion ever... No escape if she fails, and no escape for the target if she has a slight advantage. Counterplaying her is mostly about having pinks ready in case she casts her W, which lasts an eternity. Apart from that, 2 of her abilities are click-and-kill, the other 2 are AoE, one of which is a defensive ability. All this pretty much makes her a braindead champion in my opinion.

Assassins that do have the option to escape after an all-in scenario: Ahri Ekko Fizz Katarina Khazix Leblanc Shaco Zed

Assassins that don't have the option to escape after an all-in scenario: Akali Evelynn Diana MasterYi (some consider him an assassin)Rengar Talon

From what I understand, it is almost 100% certain to be akali or katarina. Katarina was highly hinted at early for being a good candidate for this. Akali is either one of the big 4 or going for a full rework. Depends how Riot feels how much work she needs. Right now, she has a lot of "toxic" things on her kit, such as her passive. From what I gather, for Fizz and Ekko, they are doing minor things, such as removing the %health from both Ekko and Fizz to prevent tank Fizz/Ekko.

From what I also understand, they are trying to lengthen kill times and make it so they are vulnerable and can be retaliated against instead of die in .2 seconds. ALL 3 of the champions picked were problem champions IN THAT AREA. Thus why I've been telling EVERYONE that Leblanc will be reworked despite most people thinking the contrary. Right now, for Fizz, unless he is fed or you build/rune literally no MR, there is zero chance of killing you in one Q (which can be dodged already) which means he will need A: Shark (which has 1.5 second kill time, which means you have plenty of time to counter with shields, healing, zhonyas, what have you) or B: His playful/trickster (which if he uses playful, is .75 seconds, plenty of time to move, dash or flash away or zhonya, shield etc. or he uses trickster which won't do damage unless you hit DIRECTLY on top) which also burns his escape and leaves him vulnerable (it's not like leblanc where she distortion on top of you, Q + R + chain and instantly port back out using the same initial distortion) or C: His dot (which is 3 seconds duration) OR D: multiple autos with W (which is more than 1 second). This is WELL within the window that Riot is looking at (instead of .2 seconds, they want it at about .75 - 1 second) and also leaves the champion open to retaliation if you dash his E etc. If they need to move damage to lengthen kill times (which they don't but if they DID), he already has the tools such as moving some upfront to his dot.

The only real reason they would rework Fizz is if they were aiming to strengthen his weaker lane phase and one of the worst in the game feast or famine cases since unlike every other assassin he has no ability that has range outside of melee besides ultimate. Sorry for all those hoping they will get rid of his E. His E does NOT operate much different than a dash, as a dash can already avoid ALL skill shots, E just makes it so if you throw targeted it will avoid it. Since his no range abilities, no sustain and lower range mobility (Q is 550 and E is 400) with no port backs or resets, he currently needs the invulnerability to do his job at all, otherwise targeted CC will always stop him as his E is much slower and lower range than most other assassins near instant blinks. Without his E invulnerability his win rate would come in at around 30%. They would need to add either range attacks, sustain or a shield for laning and increase the speed of his Q and increase the speed and range of his E by a sizable amount, and lower the CD. But really the main reason is that it is his iconic ability. They will rework Q and W before they ever redo E and R.
