Also Ninjas were historically jacks of all trades mercenaries in the first place anyway, it's just that samurais only used them for dirty businesses and the Hollywood likes the agile perspectives more.
But this is a video game design, who cares if nothing is real?
Not to mention the original 3 ninjas, Shen, Kennen and Akali they together share a combined theme. Shen is only 1/3 of it.
