This is the problem with starting the new rune system at level 30, it doesn't give you the runes a few at a time.
What I suggest is you take like 1-2 maybe even 3 hours and just play a bunch of practice matches, just to see exactly what runes do what.
If you read something and you wonder how it interacts with something else, just hop into a practice match and see if it does or not.
For instance the Summon Aery rune says it shields allies that you effect with spells, and Ezreal's W gives allies bonus attack speed, and shields proc ardent censer
So you hop into the practice tool as Ezreal with the runes, you give yourself a ton of gold and xp, you buy the item, you summon a dummy and you blast it with W, and low and behold the dummy is shielded and Ezreal has proced ardent.
