So i found this review on DOTA. It's... real
"Just get away while you still can. Dont look up the game, dont watch the game, dont talk about the game. The last thing you ever want to do is get addicited to this game and have to go through all the sh!t you'll end up doing along the way.
The game's great, dont get me wrong, it might even be genius, and there really isnt anything that comes close to it. But trust me, you REALLY dont want to be involved with this game whatsoever and as someone who has spent nearly 2000 hours in game and plenty more spectating and watching the game on twitch, I'll tell you a few good reasons why.

You'll want to get really good at it. Might sound odd, but this is the worst thing the game does to you. You'll want to be better than anyone you play against or with, you'll focus on what makes them so bad, and less so on what is making you "good". You'll focus so much on "being the best" and "having a high MMR" that you even forget that its supposed to be fun, or even a video game. Soon the enjoyment comes not from solid mechanics and exciting gameplay, but out of that feeling you get when you win. That feeling you get when you think you're better than other people, when you talk down to them about how bad they are. Outside of the obvious fact that being good at the game provides no real life skills, the worst about this is that its...

A friendship destroyer. You'll compare yourself to your friends in terms of game skill, you'll begin to think "X guy is such a fcking rtard he doesnt know sh!t about Y" all the time. If you fck up in game, they'll have your neck, if they fck up, you'll probably want to badmouth them. And that's the tip of the iceberg, you'll probably end up blocking/hating/flaming people not because of their character, but because of their "player skill". I've seen firsthand bonds and friendships go down the sh!tter all because of someones actions in 1 dota match, its that bad.
3.Putrid community of degenerates, a**holes, and memers. #1 kinda feeds this mentality, as you'll often see the breakdown of most converations in game to some cesspool of negativity and unintelligable nonsense. You'll find no sense of comaraderie here, everyone's in for themselves in a supposedly team focused game. It doesnt get better as you play more either, its the same continuous sh!tstream for your entire dota experience.
This is honestly just the tip of the iceberg, but I hope you deeply consider what little I've said and heed my warning. For how great this game is in design and aethstetics, I sincerely hope that you ignore the praise this game gets and stay away. The game will ruin your life, for who knows how long until you finally wise up and realize what you've been doing has been a grave mistake. It took me about 2 1/2 years to do that, could've been even longer too; this is what I'm trying to prevent. Get out before the game catches you in its cold, balck, sinister scheme and doesn't let you go."
They should name a disease after this.
