Has anyone figured out a viable Ziggs build for this patch?

I use to play a lot of the little guy, before the assassin meta rolled in and before the mana regen nerfs. I've got a hankering to play him more, but my attempt today left me OOM (despite having mana regen runes and Athenes) and low on damage all game.

I'm sure there's some Ziggs mains who have stuck it out and have some nuggets to share. Any tips?

the new archangels looks nice, what if you built tear on him? ooo and the new RoA? it scales more with mana, that might help the mana problems.

ive never played ziggs,so idk what type of stats you're looking for. those those items looked nice for mana anyway :p

You might run into wave clear problems without the CDR. Then again, since minions have no MR, you could try subbing sorc shoes with Lucidity boots.

Generally, Ziggs should be good once he's able to clear wave. Not the most powerful mage overtly, but has lots of stalling tools. Pick him if your team needs to stall for late game.

Personally, his build route hasn't changed much, but he could be more encouraged to building a rylais as his third or fourth item.

Start - Dorans ring + potions Sell after it's unneeded

Sorcerers shoes Chalice into Athenes Unholy Grail Rylais/RoA/Ludens/Seraphs (Ludens is great assist for his waveclear and popping in some additional damage on players, even if he already has great waveclear) Rabadons Void Staff Hourglass

This tends to be my general path. I tend to start with two faerie charms to get chalice sooner along with remaining gold for potions, grab Chalice for the mana sustain and magic resist against early opponents, and rush to build into Athenes for the mana sustain from its assist/kill passive 30% regen.

I'll get boots next, and if i'm short on gold from pressure or no kills, i'll upgrade the boots, then get Aether Whisp for Ludens (more movement speed always helps) and grab a Large rod that will allow me to build into Rabadons or Ludens if I feel whichever would be more impacting to get first.

Afterwards, i'll get Seekers armguard and grind its 30 stacks while I get the equipment for void staff. Afterwards, my final grab would be another large rod to complete hourglass.

grail or morello, pick one.

sorc boots

liandry

rab cap

void staff

filler utility item, feel free to insert the utility item where you need it, but the above gives you the best itemization.
