@Riot, Enlighten me on these Miss Fortune changes.

As you guys might know Riot said they were going to give Miss fortune a small gameplay and visual update. Along with Gangplanks rework. While Gangplank is looking fine and coming together great, I just don't feel like they are updating Miss Fortune at all. If you ask me its a straight up nerf packaged along with a nice Visual upgrade.

Here are the current changes to MF that I know of that are on the PBE: (correct me if I am wrong)

Passive: Unchanged, will still get stopped by minions and essentially useless in combat.

Q: Got a situational buff which can barely even be called a buff because her lane bullying was strong enough. Out of lane it wont help much.

W: Got a refresh of her passive on cast which still isn't good and a straight up removal of her Grievous wounds. So basically no reduced healing which is massively strong, and she is left with a refresh of her passive which will be negated by anything. It also was going to receive a buff which made her AS stronger, but was reverted to the current values which are barely an attack speed steroid compared to other adcs and their AS steroids.

E: Got a buffed slow which is kinda good but also reduced duration. This barely helped the problems with her E. Her E scales off AP doesn't do any damage practically, can be easily dodged, walked through, or dashed through. And has a cast time and massive mana cost. There are very few times for a MF player to actually use this ability, even if it looks like a good time to use it will probably have little to no impact.

R: The same as far as I can see, which is fine.

So with all of these changes, MF isn't looking stronger at all. I don't know if you are refusing to make her strong because she is a bully in lane but there are plenty of better lane bullies or ADCs that can at least survive lane and scale very well into mid and late game. So at least fix Miss Fortunes problems such as her Passive, E and making her W better after getting straight up nerfed. This is coming from someone who likes MF a lot and wants her to be strong and not completely ignored when the pros go for the best for obvious reasons.

Passive: It got changes. It no longer breaks on DoTs, and enemies have to break through any shields she may have first before disabling her passive (Considering Bloodthirster is core on her, may not be super easy.)

Q - Definitely a weird change. Q's already pretty good as you said. It's a Boots of Mobility Spell, not a perma-sivir bonus. W - It depends on usage. Yes, the GW loss sucks, but now you get passive full stacked (which depending on your positioning, is pretty great.) It's still a pretty good AS boost and lasts awhile. E - ADC MF NEVER uses E for damage, they use it for the slow. I still consider it a buff since it's a heavier slow now. Definitely agree, it's seldomly used, but that's because it's basically a utility ability. R - Still devastating in the right position.

She is very good in the right hands.

Yes you can play her effectively but CC, Mobility, and Burst exist. The meta revolves around the Jungler and ADC primarily, its not always easy to protect your ADC especially when they have no tools to escape compared to every other ADC. She is currently one of the weakest at disengage and kiting compared to every other ADC. If anyone gets their hands on her MF is not a good pick at all to come back from when behind. Also I am not saying people use her E for damage but the slow is barely enough to call it a strong ability. MF has one combo. Q auto with W or auto Q auto with W and keep autoing. So she can't be called a caster, her E has always been a problem for me.

Her E slow is what makes her so good at follow-ups on ganks and also what makes her synergize well with every Support in the game. She can follow up with CC, but also has CC of her own available that's very difficult to actually miss due to it's massive range. It can be used when chasing people due to it's really high range, and while they most likely won't take the full duration it will definitely hit them unless they have like Boots of Swiftness with Alacrity or something, it can be used to check areas in the Fog-of-War, push waves, and I've actually executed melee champions after dying with it.

While Miss Fortune doesn't have mobility, she's not necessarily suppose to. She has powerful AoE damage, and she actually has higher damage outputs than most ADCs who are considered "top picks" last time I checked. Imagine a Miss Fortune without cast times on her Q and E, her ultimate can be angled while being casted like a Lucian ult, and her passive was unbreakable. You couldn't win lane against her, you wouldn't be able to chase her, you wouldn't be able to run away from her. It would be quite a nightmare and I feel like if they did remove these barriers, she would need to be nerfed.

I agree, I've had very seldom problems with playing or carrying with Miss Fortune. Until yesterday I was on a streak of carrying every game I played with Miss Fortune, all getting fed, for about 20 games including Ranked and Normals (however I don't really play that much Ranked). She's a really strong, and solid pick. She can be played by basically anyone and is awesome for new players, but surprisingly it took me a while to master her since she's a mash-up of a caster ADC like Ezreal with obvious traits of a more standard ADC like Graves who rely heavily on raw auto attack power.

I also liked how you mention she's good in the right hands. Personally the first few times I played her, I thought she was absolute garbage. Now I would probably pick her over a lot of different ADCs. I've played every Marksman (Markswoman as well) in the game, and I don't see a reason why people say "Oh Miss Fortune is so bad she's so useless". She has really defined strengths and weaknesses, but all-in-all is a solid Marksmen that can bring a lot to the game and can go beyond what a lot of other ADCs wish they could do. She isn't the best at both teamfighting and dueling for example, but she can do them effectively and can fill those roles pretty well as a duelist and a teamfighter on top of being a godly lane bully.
