Zed too hard to play?
Is it just me or is this champion just too difficult to play?
- The enemy picks a bunch of CC (and there's so much of it now) and its almost impossible to team fight if they are any good
- Mid buys a Zhonya and your usefulness seems to go down by at least 50%
- You are supposed to snowball the lane but with your 20+ second cool down on your W, its very hard
- A 3 item Zed power spike feels a lot weaker than a similar 3 item power spike on a mage
- You have to get close to your targets to kill them, but you are squishy as balls (that just never made sense to me, you should either be Tanky and get to be in the thick of fights, or made of glass but be able to output ranged DPS or AOE damage; assassins are just strange)
So you just split push right? Well... its off the table if your top laner lost basically. Its actually much easier to split push as a tanky duellist then as a Zed in my opinion. Also, your team is going to suck in team fights because they don't have a mage.
ON PAPER Living Shadow is really powerful (its a gap closer, can be used for general mobility, increases your range, can be used to output tons of damage if used right) but in practice, it fees like SUCH a clunky ability; probably because you always want to use it for more than 1 thing but realize that the way you've thrown it only allows you to do one of the above.
Also, what is with Razor Shuriken's RIDICULOUSLY low damage when you hit just 1 and not both? Just try it. Go into a bot game, buy 3 AD items and launch 1 Razor Shuriken at a champion. You will be amazed at how little damage it does. While the damage on a double Shuriken is better, its A LOT MORE EFFORT to aim that bloody thing when you can achieve similar if not superior results with a Viktor laser.
Also... in the hands of the vast majority of players, as soon as people group up, Zed becomes near useless.
I actually consistently play better (more damage, higher win rate, less deaths) when playing immobile carries like Ashe and Lux then I do on Zed. Zed is supposed to be safe and strong, but he feels so bad to play...
