Another idea for down-sizing ARAM accounts

Instead of making all the champions free for ARAM(the popular suggestion), and instead of giving everyone a random champion pool page(my own suggestion), how about...

...free to play champs for the week cannot be rerolled, and they cannot be traded. I've noticed that the ARAM accounts players prefer to save rerolls for when they get free to play champs that they think are bad, it's pretty consistent. If they don't have rerolls and they get a free to play champ that they don't like and you have one of the popular ARAM champs they will definitely try to trade for your champ.

So, a good way to give them all a kick in the butt every so often is to just deny them being able to trade or spend their reroll when they get a free champ. I mean, it happens more often to players that own fewer champs, therefore it happens more often to ARAM account players on average.

There are no such thing as ARAM accounts. Stop being a cry baby because you get steamrolled.

And you got down-voted, too. I guess we can't compete with the ARAM accounts because they are the ones using smurfs to down-vote. They are far more OP on the forums than they are in game. 8D

Well, I don't agree with your idea, but I agree that ARAM accounts are a problem. Right after bots that is.

I didn't say I find them to be a huge problem, I just see the posts come up again and again for the same thing and think there's such a huge lack of creativity for figuring out what to do with them and it's a shame It's the same post every time. I find it shocking that I got so many down-votes for asking for an alternative solution.

I think is one of the worst serious suggestions I have ever seen.

I hate this witch-hunt on ARAM accounts.

I hate melee champions. The only melee champions I own are Kayle and Jayce, who both only half-count.

I hate tanks. The tankiest champion I own is Vladimir, followed by Annie/Janna/Jayce/Lulu/Rakan. For that matter, I've been trying to pick up Rakan recently, and I have great difficulty playing him without building AP to make him more mage-like.

God forbid I decide to play ARAM instead of Summoner's Rift, then get assigned Warwick or Sion or Garen or any other short-ranged melee tank and go 1/15, costing my team the game because I don't understand what on Earth I'm supposed to be doing. That's not fun for me or my team. Rerolls are specifically meant to prevent people from being forced too far out of their comfort zone. I save them for exactly these circumstances, and so do most players who are fine with all/most champions in their champion pool. To prevent people from rerolling when they get a free champion is to change the purpose of rerolls into rerolling better champions within their champion pool, but no one will ever do that because of the risk of rerolling into a free champion. You might as well just demand that rerolls get removed, which arguably hurts normal players more than those with ARAM accounts. (Since, by definition, ARAM accounts more reliably get champions that perform well without needing to reroll. They might have less champions to work with than normal accounts, but really all that does is increase the minimum time investment needed to create one; they can just get more.)

No part of this suggestion hurts ARAM accounts more than it does normal players.

Dude, try Sion if you get him in ARAM. I dislike tanks too (love tanky supports though) but full tank Sion or lethality offtank Sion is so damn fun to play just for shits and giggles

I see where you're coming from, but if you don't like it at least offer some support for my first suggestion?

And anyway, I think you're wrong. ARAM account users have a smaller champ pool than you'd think because when a champ gets nerfed they have to make a new account and have fewer champs. I think they're more likely to need a reroll than you are.

Why would they make a new account? Since balance changes are almost always targeted at SR, nerfs don't typically impact ARAM too much. Champion power disparities mostly stem from kit differences, and full kit reworks aren't that common.
