Difference between a fighter and a bruiser?
I wanna know the specifics.

Fighter and bruiser are the same thing Diver and juggernaut are what your looking for.
Fighter and bruiser are outdated terms but the colloquial meaning behind/difference between them are generally understood . I have never heard someone refer to a champion by its official "diver" classification. Everyone I talk to refers to them as "juggernauts, bruisers, and the other fighters"
First example off the top of my head of each of those in order would be

I am aware that two of those are "officially" """slayers""" and not fighters
well whats the difference between
and
?
I mean, it also depends on the build for the champions.
no not really
Garen is a juggernaut: Low levels of mobility/CC but fuck tons of damage, essentially designed to beat most people in a straight up fight due to how much tank and damage he has.
Jax would be more in line with i THINK a diver, designed to dive into fights and kill priority targets but is tanky enough to survive the actual dive, rather than an assassin that's supposed bail
right that is the difference of a BRUISER and a FIGHTER
but as a knife cat commented that the terms are old and what the player base used to describe classes of champs now we have juggernaut, divers, skirmishers, etc
well whats the difference between
and
?
They're both fighters. Garens a juggernaut and jax is a bruiser
lol by that sense all champs are fighters
lol by that sense all champs are fighters
Yeah not gonna lie. It's pretty hard to find differences lmao. I guess
scales better than
but
has a better early game?
well panth would be the definition of a DIVER he goes in hard has burst no sustain/tankyness and no escape he succeeds in short burst type of fights
jax is a fighter/dueler who for one scales, has multiple passives that allows him to be stronger as a fight goes . he has a reliable gap closer and escape with Q
neither are assassins but if ahead and fed can 100-0 a single champ easily.
Bruisers are able to take damage like a tank and kill someone like a fighter, but don't have the ability to deliver that damage or tankiness to the enemy team reliably. If they do then that is an exception and not the rule, like Garen's ms buff. Riot likes to call bruisers juggernauts.
Fighters deal damage over time and can deliver it to an opponent, but generally their defensive capabilities are in a skill with limited uptime like Yi's meditate or Fiora's parry/ultimate.

Bruiser and fighter have always been used interchangeably. It was in 5.16 that fighters were split in to the more tanky less mobile juggernaut class and the higher mobility diver class.
From what I get from it;
Fighter is the term from Riot. Bruiser is the term from the players. Juggernaut is another term I believe, but they're all Jax, Illaoi and Renekton type champions.

Jax is a skirmisher( part of assassin class), but he can build like a Juggernaut.
Juggernauts are slow, tanky and have potent damage in their kit while fighting in melee range(Nasus, Illaoi, Renekton, Dariu, Garen, sometimes Shyvana). Most have very strong early games for the reason they are tanky damage dealers.
Not much, now days. Many bruisers just build damage due to their scaling: Jax, J4, WuKong etc
Formerly they were juggernauts that had mobility. Was about their only distinction. They had higher damage scaling than juggarnauts, but not as much as fighters. They were mobile, but also not as much as fighters.
They're just labels so that newer players can identify what the functions of the champion are, they mean nothing really, you're better off understanding what individual champs do than putting labels on different groups of them.
That said, I think a fighter wins extended fights by dealing more damage than they take. They want to all in you because their ultimate will be an execute or something that helps them win extended fights.

A bruiser lacks the ability to kill, they can only chunk, a fighter that builds tankier could be called a bruiser, a juggernaught with AP ratios that builds AP-HP could be called a bruiser. A garen that builds
would be a bruiser. Bruisers are vulnerable to cc and getting focused so they have to respect your team, but if you misposition, they can go on you and you're forced to retreat back to your team, you get bruised.
Yeah, riot has pretty arbitrary categories. Less so a problem with fighter/bruiser which riot doesn't totally support the terminology.

Riot has defined some champions as "Slayers" and "Divers" (as a subset of "Fighters"), but for the life of me I can't tell you what the difference is other than what's viewed as the idealistic build for them, which is almost never true as builds for both categories are heavily dependent on the current state of AD itemization...
A bruiser is a kind of fighter. Bruisers tend to build large amounts of HP along with their offensive stats. An example of a fighter that is not a bruiser would be Yasuo or Yi
