Is Renekton good?

..... If you like his kit, play him. Don't just follow the meta that says one champ is 1% better than another.

Besides that, he's a lane bully that doesn't have great teamfights.

Just don't pick him into Jax or Teemo since they completely negate your W now

A lot of champions he plays against nowadays do well in lane while also scaling well which is bad news. Make sure you get Tiamat and something with cooldown on it. Renekton's interactions with Tiamat are baller. He can Tiamat > Q which looks and feels great to use, and can cancel his W animation with W > Tiamat to make his combo much better for bursting someone down.

Just watch to solo renekton only videos. He's been a master challenger renekton otp for many years. I don't play renekton but I watch his videos to learn top lane. He gives the best advice out there.

trust me when I say this ->

Play him with fervor of battle + titanic hydra + black cleaver + full tank.

Your empowered W applies onhit effects 3 times + the ability effect. thats I think 7 stacks in one auto, not to mention its an auto reset and applies the onhit from titanic hydra too, AND you can reset your auto again with titanic hydra, and lost not forget the armor shred that comes with this. You will one shot squishies mid game with a E + auto + (emp) W + titanic hydra + Q combo.

Unless you're trying to climb to somewhere before ranked ends, don't worry about the current meta. Think about what champions will fare well against tanks and assassins, cause you're gonna see a ton of both once season 7 comes around.

To be more specific Renekton is good right now IMO. He works well as a early dominator, and can transfer into a bruiser later.

No, Renekton is not good in the current meta.

Renekton usually builds a mix of offense and defense, focussing on damage early on, but becomming a meat shield/ stun bot once he starts falling off.

/ + is a pretty general core for damage, after that you kinda just build tanky.

For masteries, you're gonna want 18 points in ferocity, take Fervor of battle, the other 12 points can go in either resolve or cunning.

Renekton has a bunch of combos, usually chaining his abilities together with Auto Attacks in between. It's important to note, Ravenous Hydra/Tiamat's active or his Ult animation can be used to cancel his W animation, thus letting you get your damage off faster.

A pretty standard combo would be E > AA> W > Tiamat > AA > Q > AA > E out.

You also want to use your ult slightly before a fight, if you can, so you can start regenerating Fury with it.

He can be decent in a good matchup because he can dominant the lane hard and always get that first turret gold. However he doesnt have nearly as many good matchups currently as he used to have. Popular champions like Kennen, Jayce, Darius or Rumble beat him and he also gets destroyed by picks like Kayle, Pantheon, Teemo or Illaoi top.

Renekton is a strong pick, he is a lane bully. Build order all depends on who your opponent is. Renektons typical burst pattern is combined with fervor and his W. Dash in, auto, W, Q , proc hydra, dash out. This proc's ferver 8 times.

meh average falls off too hard. his early game is good. but nowhere as good as pantheon or darius.

i wouldn't pick him over darius or pantheon.. no reason to tbh unless you want to counter riven. in which i'd rather still pick darius or pantheon

He's one of the few toplaners who can stand up to ranged champs in lane, but I don't know if it can justify his awful teamfighting.

There was a reason we used to have a thing called the Renekton Bar where if you can match up or survive him as a top laner then you are good to go for the game.
