If you want to go pure damage afterwards, fine. At the very least, you are meeting the minimum requirements for a support.

Yeah i main support and newly adc and I hate seeing mage supports, never would I play one unless it was Morgana, even then I'd be reluctant because there are much better ACTUAL supports who provide peel and engage not just damage since many mage "supports" refuse to ward

Woah woah woah don't throw me in there. I main support and I play real support champions.

While I despise people for playing Brand support, I also enjoy it because it's an easy lane win.

Never have I nor will I play stupid supports like Brand or Vel Koz.

Yes, I main support, yes, I play almost nothing but traditional backliner supports, and yes, I hate dealing with Brand supports.

But what I hate more than enemy Brand supports is when I get one on my team and never gets item 2301

It isn't hard. Rush it and you can proceed to get that full AP mage build of your dreams. All I'm asking for.

No I never tried it but I know it's garbage, they don't provide any peel or engage like a real support, maybe morg or lux but outside of that I like meta supports who can build like a support and still do good, any mage will build damage and refuse to ward leaving you vulnerable to ganks. Why play brand when you could play someone like thresh Kench bard or nami?
