The Problem with Learning new champs.

Soo, i've been around for a little over a year now, playing LoL, watching/interacting with the community.

And one thing ive noticed.. is that league is terribly flawed, kinda in a good way.

People want to try new champs. but can't. why? because peer pressure.

People are allways saying "play your best", not what you want. you dont want to try new things because YOU KNOW you're going to drag your team down, and said person will feel horrible about it.

At this point, league can just,.. loose all fun. matches become 'eh', people giving minumum effort because they just want to go have fun.

Am i the only one who's noticed this.. lack of interest in games? i've noticed the 'give up', i guess one could say, response alot more since the snowball-pocalypse hit us in preseason.

The "play whatever you're best at" only applies to ranked games. I learn new champions in normal draft. Few people are helpful when it comes to helping you choose who to play in champ select.

When people aren't having fun in a game anymore because they're doing bad, that's when people want to ff or give up. Some like to say "gg" after their team loses first blood. It's just their inexperience showing. They don't know how easily games can turn around with some gameplay alteration on their part. You have to pep talk them. Works for my teams, usually.

Play what you want in normals, but play what what you're good at in ranked games.

Sounds good. until you go 2/12 to the enemy oriana because you wanted to try katarina mid, and the entire team, except the sejuani who quit at the start, begins flaming cuz ya wanna learn something new.

Going 2/12 as any champ isnt necessarily a mechanical issue, a lot of that has to do with decision making, contrary to my point a lot of decision making goes into knowing what your champ can or cannot do.

The best and safest way to learn how to play a champion is to watch some tutorials on them, then take them into practice tool, practice csing with them, practice their combos, and then hop into norms. You're gonna get your ass kicked, especially with assassins like kat who if you miss step ye done, but getting your ass kicked is how you learn. Watch the replay and then notice each time what killed you, and if the risk of you dying was worth it.

Even in blind pick people will talk crap. It's not right, but you can mute them if they start or in advance. I've used /mute all quite a bit when I'm trying something new in normals and don't feel like being tilted. I play worse when people flame, because I feel worse. So when I mute them, it's great because they can be flaming me and I'll still congratulate their victories.

I don't feel like a lot of people think to try there character for a few games of bots and hold standards for their game play before going PvP. "First time X Character" is really tough to hear because every time it's said the person means it's their literal first game and they don't even know how to use the kit yet. It's annoying as shit and makes the game so much less fun.

But if it's someone first PvP with the champ, and they know their kit they just don't know how to PvP with it I'll happily understand because people play differently than bots.

I learned to play Kled for kind of the reverse reason. My friend was a yasuo main and he had a cool fighter, but I didn't. and since we played together I didn't want to learn yssuo. In came Kled! A guy who can go toe to toe with yasuo and best of all was a top laner! I didn't play him cause I was good at him tho, I played him cause he looked fun!

thats what you guys get for mocking people who didn't care about normals and just wanted to have fun. because this game is now plagued with tryhards who flame over everything.

GG this community played itself
