Talon is Underrated in Lower ELO's
Talon
is perhaps one of the most powerful yet underrated champions in the game. With a 0.8% play-rate, it seems everyone assumes he is trash-tier. This is because he isn't played by professional teams, due to his easy bad positioning and lack of escapes compared to other assassins. In higher ELO's this becomes a problem as it is hard to pick out an individual fight. However, enemy positioning mistakes are very common in lower ELO's, so getting fed on this beast is almost a breeze. Even if you don't get fed, your 100-0's will come back in the late game.
As evidence, take my late game build (don't get mad at me if it isn't the best, I just like it):
With this build, along with a 25% damage increase from his passive and masteries on CC'ed targets, and a 50% AD bleed from new masteries, your E-AA-Q combo will deal a total of 1725 (no crits)-2725 (2 crits) mostly physical damage. If you want, you could get
instead of
to do more damage against tanks.
A 25% chance of doing 2725 damage in a VERY short amount of time is more than feasible for taking out high-priority targets, and escaping with R if need be. You may argue "but this is in the late game", but in lower ELO's you will find yourself in a lot of late games. With this amount of power, it upsets me to see Talon
played far less than other assassins.
