This game mode is extremely and by extremely i mean EXTREMELY fun. It will 100% kill summoners rift if it becomes a normal game mode. It's super fast paced it's fun and refreshing and individual skill truly matters.

Late game champs reach their power spike correctly if they play early game well and early game champs can snowball very well if they're ahead.

I'm actually in tears as I'm typing this YOU NEED TO TRY IT OUT ON PBE. The potential this game mode has is incredible thank you thank you thank you riot for this please don't remove it after a week like URF its insanely fun.

They said if it receives positive reception, it would become a Permanent Mode instead of a RGM.

If that's true, then I hope they make good on that.

I can't wait until it's on the live servers so I can play it without it freezing every 10 seconds on me

THIS GAME MODE IS PERFECT AS BLIND PICK.

It's so fun I'll even tolerate the 130-140ms ping to play it on PBE.

I played quite a few. TBH for me it gets boring really fast. It's like your typical snowball ff 15 SR game. except this time you can tell your team doesn't have a chance at 5 minute.

Riot seems to really want LOL to become a battle royale copy cat with this mode that has tons of RNG buff and one shot fiesta.

I agree, it looks good! I think part of the problem with League's model right now is that Summoner's Rift has been intended to be a one-size-fits-all map since the beginning -- Dominion got added but didn't stick, Twisted Treeline is super niche, and ARAM plays very differently from a typical SR match, to the point where pacing is not the main differentiating factor. Having a bite-sized mini-Rift that would offer many of the same core elements, but at an accelerated pace, could answer the need for a quicker match format without having to bend the OG game mode out of shape.

This might be tempting fate, but I'd also like to see URF, proper URF, return as an "experimental game mode", ideally a permanent game mode as well. Players absolutely love the casual, high-speed fun it provides, and having that around would solve the problem of League permanently losing players when it gets pulled, while also avoiding having to accelerate kill times in SR. Balancing may be a little tough, but I feel it would certainly be worth it. In fact, if both work out, I'd be interested in seeing URF Nexus Blitz as well, and the insane high-octane action it'd provide.

That's the same thing that happened with Dominion. It's fast it's fun and as quickly as the hype came people rather would play SR.

The sole reason being that SR has ranked rewards so people will delve into that category for the sake of those rewards over having fun in a fast paced game mode like Dominion.

If it's to successful Riot will remove it. They don't want anything taking away from SR and game modes that have done so before were promptly removed. There was a time Riot even spoke about removing ARAM. Community backlash stopped that tough sooo.. who knows.
