All Mages have 45%~48% win rate now!!!

Bilizver··7 votes·1,450 views

Yea i checked the stats and win rate drops are abysmal on some champions Cassiopeia had ~52 % win rate before mana nerfs now 47 % , Ryze has fallen to 44% and all other decent mages Orianna Syndra have max 48% win rate. SO thank you Rito the game is rly balanced now all the issues are gone with the mana changes, the game is not about whos ADC is more fed now,Maokai cant burst enemy squishies anymore while having full tank items. Thank god i can run out of mana in teamfights now so i can auto attack with 60 AD Syndra. The game has never been more balanced keep going!

as much as i came to upvote this threat because it would confirm what i assumed was happening... its actually NOT true... https://www.leagueofgraphs.com/champions/stats/middle/all/by-winrate pick any elo u want.. mages are (based on winrate alone) doing fine

unless u can provide the data u got this from i have to say.. this is just flat out false.

granted i do thing mages as a class in in shitty spot, but this wont show up on winrates, because there very few nom-mage mid laners, and mages are a CLASS, and you cant see the health of a entire class by looking at champion winrates.

but that being said.. that claims the OP is making are flat out not true. even if mages ARE in a bad spot

That winrate doesn't really say much btw.

When the majority of a lanes champion pool consists of mages then who's most likely gonna have more champions in the top percentile?

wtf would that matter

I can find quite some champions having a higher winrate, many of them actually being above 50%. Ziggs Xerath AurelionSol Karthus TwistedFate Anivia Ahri Veigar Velkoz Brand

Anivia actually droped like 2% win rate

My statement wasn't that their winrate didn't change, but that OPs statement that all mages have between 45 and 48% winrate right now is simply false.

Yes, Anivia dropped. But she still is well above 48% winrate (50 to 51%).

yes i know i over exaggerated and its not that literally all are the same but above 50% are examples of champions like zilean, ziggs or velkoz mid who have less than 1% pick rate and they will have good winrate every patch cus mostly mains play them. Also Yes i would say some mages/assassins are doing fine like Ahri or Leblanc but all the control mages like Taliyah Cassiopeia Ryze Orianna Syndra are in worse spot than before and they are the ones who can actually carry games and be competitively viable. And even if they deserved a nerf lets say im fine with it but the point is the mages were not the biggest balance problem in league and yet they got nerfed first.I guess if they nerf ADC to similar lvl ill be fine with it (and for god sake tank damage is insane Maokai can 1v1 at any point of the game with every class/champion)

The problem really is for most mages, a lot of their power got shifted to mana from AP/Burst so now we are at a situation where they lost the power that shifted to mana regen. AP items used to give a lot more raw power than they do now.

Meh. Classic mages are basically unplayable at this point. I suppose I'll start going Vayne mid.

Veigar, Karthus, Ziggs, TF, Xerath are defiantly not "classic" mages...

Mid Orianna has a 49.53% WR right now, up from 47.86% last patch.

Winrate means almost nothing tbh. Malzahar Is in the top 10 mage winrates according to Swiftkitten's link, yet everyone knows he is in a bad spot right now, being basically a walking ult that 1100 gold (or GP/Morg/CC/burst) nullifies. Meanwhile Syndra, Ryze, Cass and Orianna have a lower winrate then Lissandra. Does that mean they all needs buffing to compensate Lissandra being "OP"?

Take these stats with a pinch of salt. For one thing they're not actually accurate, being taken from only a portion of league players, but also they fail to recognize the difference between "they were played mid" and "they were played by someone who has played them enough to know HOW to play them." The second a champion starts doing well (TF had a consistently high winrate for most of this season) people go "OMG OP!" and suddenly the winrate drops as they feed for 20 games each.
