Make Turrets Great Again.

I have an Idea to make Turrets feel helpful again, instead of free gold for the enemy now.

To help defensive play, if you're in an allied turret's attack range you should get a stacking buff to increase both armor and magic resist, the buff could stack depending on LV, say 1 stack per second and each stack giving 1-5 bonus armor and magic resistance based on level (max 10 stacks) and you lose all stacks immediately when walking out of tower range that would be 10 bonus armor/mr at lv 1 and 50 at lv 18 after 10 seconds of staying in tower range, so through all stages of the game it would just be a little bit of extra protection but I think a small change like this could go a long way to reward defensive play instead of just being tower dived nonstop and not even being able to go to lane without dying when behind.

Make towers feel like an area to DEFEND, bunker down in, not a target with free gold for enemies.

The bonus could even be lower for outer turrets and scale up the closer they get to your base.

I have an idea. We can build a wall around the turrets to keep the enemy out. We can even have the enemy team pay to build the wall.

Being honest here though. There are two options.

  1. Keep the shit turrets, but allow them to rebuild themselves if turret behind it is not taken within X amount of time. (Even if Azir places a turret ontop of an almost-regened turret, the turret will still regen and destruct Azir's turret if the next is not taken within that time.)
  2. Make turrets great again.

I was also thinking that turrets could deal less true damage instead of the current physical damage they deal now. They could also deal damage like ww q does where it chooses the greater amount between 10% of targets max health or a base 300. I hate how paper thin turrets are rn because more often than not they get taken so early and so easily and they feel like they deal no damage.

Agreed, turret diving should be able to exist but not to the extent is does now with champs like Fizz Zed Elise Ekko who can pretty much dive you with no punishment. And in this meta if you build tanky enough (which a lot of people do), towers do little more than tickle.

And while your at it increase the damage. Too easy in higher levels run circles in turrets forever. Especially since tanks have 3,000+ health late game.
