Make Turrets Great Again.
I have an Idea to make Turrets feel helpful again, instead of free gold for the enemy now.
To help defensive play, if you're in an allied turret's attack range you should get a stacking buff to increase both armor and magic resist, the buff could stack depending on LV, say 1 stack per second and each stack giving 1-5 bonus armor and magic resistance based on level (max 10 stacks) and you lose all stacks immediately when walking out of tower range that would be 10 bonus armor/mr at lv 1 and 50 at lv 18 after 10 seconds of staying in tower range, so through all stages of the game it would just be a little bit of extra protection but I think a small change like this could go a long way to reward defensive play instead of just being tower dived nonstop and not even being able to go to lane without dying when behind.
Make towers feel like an area to DEFEND, bunker down in, not a target with free gold for enemies.
The bonus could even be lower for outer turrets and scale up the closer they get to your base.
who can pretty much dive you with no punishment. And in this meta if you build tanky enough (which a lot of people do), towers do little more than tickle.
