I think one of the major issues going on is vision control and support. I think the easiest way to fix that is make Sightstone a 150 gold item that works the same way as 
, it can only be purchased with gold gain items so other laners don't get it as an easy ward option. then they can give it meaningful build options besides just hp or into gold gain item.
Knight Sky1 votesI read somewhere that riot posted something kinda interesting, they said they were looking into changing the mastry tree and possibly adding a keystone for supps to pick up that would act like a sightstone, which i think would be amazing. You can build right into your items from the start of the game and in return you trade for not having a keystone that benefits shielding or damage etc. I think it would be great if they do it.

Either way, they need to differentiate the support role as they have the jungle. E.g. based on some indication (e.g. taking smite) you have other items you can access. And once that is life, they can buff/nerf accordingly.
Support is held back, as always, by some grimey grifter wanting to take our buffed items for their own advantage - while never actually queueing support. There outta be a law...

took me alittle to find this but I did (: , look under the runes and mastires section, theres also a section on supps which was nice. And i completely agree, riot needs to definitly make the support role a more intresting role. As a supp main i feel ya

the importance of finding effects beyond damage and sustain when making appreciable masteries (e.g. vision or other utility)
Which could mean anything and nothing, its just too vague.
Knight Sky1 votesIt is very vague i agree but ive read so many things that riot post about upcoming stuff and saying something as little as vision or other utilty is a hint that they are looking into that. Plus I read something even farther back at how they are trying to make it so that your not forced to buy a sightstone and end take so long to start building items, so putting 2 and 2 together and thats what i get. You can take from it what you will but i would argue that its possible to see a keystone that would act as a sightstone
