So we got Jhins numbers.

And his potential is crazy.

At max rank, his traps deal 255 (+130% AD) (+100% AP) magic damage to all enemies in the area.

While his traps take 2 seconds to deal damage, he has a means of keeping them inside.

His W has 2500 range, and at max rank will root targets hit for 1.75 seconds, nearly guaranteeing the trap damage. While the skilshot is thin, the target is already slowed from the trap.

After getting hit by this much, his target has taken 335 (+200% AD) (+100% AP) mixed damage. Assuming an endgame build with 700 AD as described by Riot, this adds up to 1735 mixed damage, pre-resistances.

Let's say that this took it's target to half health. Jhin can now use his ultimate. Against a half health target, the first shot will deal 2(200 (+50% AD) physical damage; 1100 physical damage with the stats previously described. The remainder of his shots will deal increasing damage, with the final one dealing a maximum of 1200 (+150% AD) physical damage.

Is he OP?

I don't know. With his AD getting as high as it does, any decent AD ratio is going to be crazy, but he has his weaknesses.

Will it be fun to set traps in the enemy jungle and wait to murder the face off of some unsuspecting Jinx who just wanted red buff?

You bet it will be.

I could honestly see his ratios getting cut a bit; its actually providing him with very easy waveclear very early on, perhaps a strength he shouldn't have given the amount of damage he possesses. Or maybe its fair considering his short range and other limitations.

He does have a lot of weaknesses though; low attack speed, low range (on autos), conditional mobility (he doesn't have any dashes), and the inability to use spells while reloading (not sure if a bug or not). His W is nearly impossible to hit unless his target is already cc'd, so outside of a perfect initiation scenario his range isn't all that great. His ultimate roots him and the damage can be blocked or walked out of, and he loses the ability to cast his other spells.

Of course, we won't really have good information about how strong/weak he is until he is released on live for a bit.

Overall a very interesting champion that looks really cool.

If 550 is really his range for his autos (which I'm not sure of but it looks like it said so) then I wouldn't consider that to much of a weakness since that's the average range of the other ADCs. He would share the same range as Corki Draven Ezreal Kalista MissFortune Twitch Vayne + all of his skills have very large range. Though not saying he'll be op, we'll have to wait until we see him more to really figure that out.

No, but 550 puts him in range of all the dangerous things that are trying to kill him and he doesn't have the same tools as a lot of the champs you mentioned; blinks/dashes (escapes), massive aoes, twitch range increase (his is unique), and even hard cc. So while 550 is certainly the standard average range, he is at a bigger disadvantage than a lot of those other champs listed there.

Sure W is long range, but very hard to it, R stops on first champ, Q has long range via bounces but actually throwing it the first time has relatively short range, and I have no idea about the E, but in general he won't be ability harassing like graves, corki, caitlyn, ashe, etc.

Definitely need to wait and see though.

If you double the damage of his first shot, shouldnt it be 2x(200 (+25% AD))?

I dont think he will be op since things like Rengar exist.

From videos i have seen, Jhin has too much wave clear. The CD on Jhin's ult seems too low. I think Jhin has a oppressive lane presence right now. This can be fixed by taking the mana costs Lux has on her E and putting them on Jhin's Q. Jhin's Q should be changed to what is below so that Jhin has to AA sometimes in order to clear waves and have mana for his other skills.

Dancing Grenade (Q)

COST: **70 / 85 / 100 / 115 / 130 **mana ** 8/7.5/7/6.5/6 sec **Cooldown

Jhin launches a cartridge at the targeted enemy that deals 60/85/110/135/160 (+.3/.35/.4/.45/.5 total AD) (+.6 AP) physical damage before bouncing to a nearby target that has not yet been hit.

The cartridge can hit a maximum of 4 times. Each kill by the cartridge increases the damage of subsequent hits by 35%.

I don't understand why people are building infinite edge on him.

His passive is essentially his critical strikes deal 75% ad. Hence his criticals deal 150% as it says in the tool tip. But 50% of the 75% (from ie) gives a 37.5% increase in critical damage. which means his crits with infinite edge deal 187.5 so 188% damage; is that increase worth the pickup?

Just in case anyone thinks what I did there is wrong, I can repeat the steps with yasuo: his crits deal 90% ad so 180% damage. 50% of the 90 is 45 and 180+45 brings us to 225%.

I don't actually think ie is worth buying on Jhin; it seems like ER would be better overall.

I agree, jhin doesn't need IE, I think Jhin should go: item 3508 item 3078 item 3006item 3046 item 3036 item 3139
