just out of curiosity is there a champ that can 1v1 jax late game?

The issue is your definition of 1v1 because a variety of champs can 1v1 Jax late game however the conditions must be right.

Also there is the question of wether or not the character has flash or other sums up a/o what sums each character has.

For example:

can burst down as long as he gets the jump on while his passive can be initiated.

A lot of other mages can 1v1 Jax as long as his flash is down as they simply out range him and can perm kite him.

If you mean straight up He lands his full combo on you and you land your full combo on him who wins, well that depends too. If your an adcs you can 1v1 him if you have a dash and qss (Think Lucian, Vayne, Jinx if she can trap him)

Singed can 1v1 Jax late game but you dont fight him. You can perm trap him in poison by infinitely kiting him and flinging him back whenever he leaves.

However if you simply mean you want a late game scaling dueling top laner who scales just as well as Jax then ... do i really need to say it

can easily win against Jax. It is probably one of the easiest match ups in League. As long as Nasus do not die too often early game, he can bypass Jax's E with Q, and cripple Jax's AS with W.

can also duel Jax. This is more of a skill match up since Jax can dodge vitals with E and time the second cast to sneak the stun under Riposte. If Fiora can block Jax's counter strike, Fiora wins. If she cannot, it is 50/50.

: If Yi has Devourers (red smite), Guinsoo's Rageblade, and some tank items, he might stand a chance against Jax. Yi can meditate while Jax attacks with counter strike up. As well, he can dodge the stun with a preemptive Alpha Strike. If Yi manage to do these tasks, he will win against Jax in the DPS race that ensures after.

Some other champions such as , , or can also beat Jax late game. However, they rely on kiting him backwards instead of out right fighting him.

A late game destroys late game . Another champion who may be able to do it late game and has been not been mentioned, not 100% sure myself on this one, is if he gets lucky crits.

Mundo should be able to handle jax. If things look bad just kite while spamming q to perma slow jax. Fizz might be able to, with all that 45% cdr and zhonya. Nasus and Veigar can but they need to be super stacked. Poppy can if jax is close enough to your base that poppy ult can knock him to your fountain.
