so we playing hexakill. our caitlyn is 1-14-1 by 15 minutes on hexakill and she tells the other 5 teammates to "guys im the carry you protect me"
why do feeders call themselves carrys? i thought carries are the people who are not 1--14-1
thoughts?
Narasimha2 votesThere is a difference between someone who is carrying, and a carry. A carry is meant to have sustained damage output. They're not nukers, but they WILL kill your team or take down objectives if you don't keep any eye on them. Someone who is carrying is not limited to a carry, but is just someone who is greatly assisting a team through their actions. If a support goes 0/8/23 and their adc is 16/3/5, then thats a form of carrying too
Fluppets1 votesthis.
Riot uses the word Marksmen for what we call ADC(arry)s. A marksman is expected to carry a team come late game, hence the name. But even in the situation you described, you should still protect caitlyn if she has been farming enough and they are diving her.
If their team is spending resources on killing Caitlyn you will come ahead if they fail to kill her because in an extended fight an ADC will do more damage because they don't rely on CD's/burst.
TeemoHunter13371 votesbut the cait was 1-14-1 while we have a fizz 12-4-4 and a jayce 15-7-8 and the cait was complaining that we are not her bodyguards? wtf. especially when the cait is a feeding noob.
so why call yourself a carry when you are not carrying or infact doing the opposite
TehNACHO1 votesYou mixed up the terms immediately after he explained it.
Caitlyn is the AD 'Carry'. This is nothing more than a slightly arbitrary name we summoners players use to classify champions.
Now, somebody who is carrying is a completely different thing entirely.
TeemoHunter13371 votesits hexakill.
its a fun game mode.
we have 6 people on the team and only 1 of us is feeding who is the caitlyn with no damage
i rather the other 5 people be called carries while the caitlyn just shuts up and not feed.
