Clash isn't worth the time or the money. (Riot is hiding what you can get from the premium ticket)

Just played Clash. Did a bit of a test on premium vs. regular ticket.

Of course I tried to win all three games, however each day we only ended up winning one.

So unless you win the entire thing you get pretty much crap for rewards.

For the premium ticket it was 2 clash logos + 1 ticket (which is less than 1k blue essence) along with 2 skin shards.

For the clash free ticket I got 1 clash logo and an icon.

3 hours of gaming, taking time out and scheduling, and you get nothing of value.

Now sure perhaps if you're good at winning or get lucky you might get something. I don't know the reward for a 3 win premium ticket. I highly doubt they will be worth the grind.

Honestly the fact that Riot doesn't even say what you can win is irking me. But hey, perhaps I just can't find it, or it's buried somewhere that I have to go research for an hour.

Anyways long story short....

1: Premium Ticket isn't worth it, even with 1 win it didn't feel like I got any value. 2: Freebie Ticket is more or less giving you the privledge of being beat on by smurfs and people who dodge the Riot screening process to dunk on Tier 3 and 4 teams. 3: Ticket Prize pools aren't shown.

This is pretty bad.

I hope (though I don't have any left) they make Eternals better than this.

I honestly think it's too late for Clash. I had a group of friends who played this game since season 1 and 2. They started quitting in season 7, but hearing about Clash made us excited and the ones who quit even came back for a while to make sure they were in practice for the mode. None of us really like ranked and sit in normals to chill all day, but Clash would've given us something we could grind out hardcore in a night without committing to goals like "Diamond this season" or something that takes an infinite amount of time wasting and stress.

Unfortunately by now all my friends have either quit the game due to the horror show of seasons 7 and 8 or cut their playtime back like 95% and no longer understand the basic game mechanics required to really give the game a go without being frustrated and just mashing keys. Sure, you can always look for a group online but it just isn't the same as playing with your real buddies and I've seen plenty of stories of a Clash team made of randoms disintegrating on one loss because someone freaks out and dips thinking their team is a waste of time.

I'm sure there are still plenty of people out there with enough friends to play the mode, but even people who still play and were initially excited for Clash seem to just not give a shit now that it has been introduced in a beta form so many times. Either they think it'll be buggy based on past experience or they know the rewards are shit and not worth the effort of getting a group. It's sad. The mode had real potential, I used to get absolutely destroyed in Warcraft 3's automated tournaments but those couple wins I cheesed with a rush were a blast. This game has far better matchmaking than Warcraft 3 and due to the tier system there's a real chance teams could go far even if they aren't good at League. Too little too late I guess.

One would think that the resources put into clash and eternals not to mention maintenance for both of those would be better served to bring more permanent game modes into the game, having just SR and ARAM isn't a lot of variety.
