Question about the Mastery Tree
I know that this is a noob question, but with what frequency do they update the 3 Mastery Trees ? Not that I am complaning, but just out of curiosity.

Variks the Loyal1 votesDoesn't really seem like they do. They did a big update to them at the end of season 3/beginning of season 4, but I don't remember any major rebalances to masteries after that.
tTops1 votesThe last time they updated masteries was pre-season 4. I don't mean balanced a few numbers, but completely new trees. It seems like they change masteries and such every 2 years or so.
Of course the reason they change the trees is because the game evolves passed the relevancy of those former masteries. The old mastery pages were a lot more cookie-cutter than the ones we have now and I think that since season 5 was all about "strategy diversification", if they [Riot] continue along this path, we will see another revamp season 6.

Riot has changed the mastery trees to a new set at the end of every season. However at the end of Season 4, they decided that the masteries are good for this season as well. If I recall correctly, it was that they believe that they are in a good enough place in the game that a retooling of the masteries would not be necessary at this time.
