Greeting Summoners,

Two days ago, in the attempt of getting into my Platinum promos, I queued up for a game of ranked in which I locked in Aurelion Sol in the toplane. We get into the game and the early game doesn't turn out too well. Botlane feeds, toplane feeds, midlane feeds, jungler feeds, there was nobody to rely on to carry the game. Everyone's spirits are low and the game looks like a 20 minute surrender. That's when Aurelion speaks to me. As I resurrect from my death, Aurelion tells me, "It's not a comeback if one was never truly gone." I knew what I had to do.

Upon hearing the quote, my motivation returns! I begin to type into chat, "The game's not lost yet guys, we can still do this!" The team was pretty confused, we were 20 kills behind and hadn't taken a single tower, but I knew we could do this. At that point, I begin giving my team commands on what to do. "Focus on picking off enemies", "Don't fight outside of towers", "Just farm in safe positions." Taking my commands, I start pinging out picks and objectives, and we start racking up on kills with very few deaths in the process.

Eventually, the enemy team realizes we're just making picks, so they group up mid and try to force a 5v5. It made us uneasy, but nonetheless I told my team, "We can still focus on picks. Force the fight when we catch someone important out of position." And so it happened that way. The enemy Janna was out of position, so our Gragas stunned her and we bursted her down. The enemy tried to start the fight there, but I pinged my team off the fight and told them, "Don't fight, just take what we got." This is when the enemy made a huge mistake.

For some reason, even outnumbered, they decided to continue shoving the lane, so we made another pick. Gragas got a knockup off on their Nidalee and Karma, which got a nice two-man knockup or Yasuo to ult off of. That's when we engaged the fight; when we caught both of their main carries. With the two knocked up, I got a stun off for them to be completely locked down and bursted. After we'd won the fight, we pushed down mid and got our first tower, then took our first dragon. Things were going upward.

We continued to play the pick game, and after making several picks and getting their mid inhibitor turret down, the team wanted to start pushing and forcing fights. However, I still felt uneasy about fighting; we've been going off picks this entire time, not a full fight. Can we really go all-in? With this unease inside me, I convinced my team not to fight. "Let's just play safe for a bit longer; better safe than sorry." So we stayed under our towers and made another pick onto Janna, and that's the pick that cost the game.

As the enemy went to push down the botlane outer turret after seeing they couldn't do anything mid, Janna was left alone in the back of the team's trail, so Gragas stunned her and we bursted her down. The team insisted on fighting the fight, and I kept trying to ping them back so they wouldn't, but I just couldn't convince them otherwise. My heart racing as I saw them chase into our jungle, I decided to trust my team and follow them in. Gragas got off a nice 4 man ult, which lead to Yasuo's ult, which lead to my Q and R, which inevitably won us the fight. We took the mid inhibitor and Baron, and from there the game was completely in our favour.

In the end, after being 20 kills, 5 towers, and 2 dragons behind, we won the game. A game we thought was completely hopeless was won all thanks to Aurelion. If he hadn't spoken to me, our low morale would've lost us the entire game. Only Aurelion and I know of what happened that game, but my life and soul is now dedicated to my savior Aurelion. Thanks to him, I am now Platinum, and in return for his gracious deeds, I shall become an Aurelion main.

Now it's time to climb through true elo hell with Aurelion and Twitch. Thank you Aurelion, you are a true hero.
