The Fundamental Issue with Current Gamestate

Two words. Crit Items. The objective of the game is to destroy the enemy nexus. What is the easiest way of accomplishing that goal? For the most part, by killing the enemies that stand between you, the nexus, and anything that may aid you in obtaining the nexus along the way. What is the easiest way of eliminating the enemies before they eliminate you? By doing more damage than they do. So why are the items that do the most potential damage also some of the cheapest in the game? Fundamentally, that seems to be by definition unbalanced. It forces champions that can utilize those items the best to be the most valuable in situations where they really shouldn't be given on the history of the game. It's why 3 item bruisers and assassins who have acquired more gold by performing better up until that point, can die to two item ADCs. It's why this subject has been beaten like a dead horse on the boards for a long time now.

ADCs are meant to carry the game in damage by definition of their role. LCS games are by and large 1 ADC and 4 supports. Mid laner, only viable if they can shove and roam bot lane. Top laner, only viable if they can keep the other top laner distracted enough to not have the ability to join his team, but then also they both take TP so we can 4 man bottom with the jungler or midland. If one of the enemy ADC dies in a team fight, the fight is over and the winning team gets closer to the nexus. This type of gameplay works, and is fun when all 5 players are able to communicate and work together. It gives people agency, a sense of purpose within the team. But when players are playing solo que and have no real means of communicating effectively on a fundamental level with complete strangers, this gameplay mode falls apart. It isn't a low elo thing either, I watch challenger level streamers and constantly mistakes are made from a lack of communication, TPs not being matched ect. Really, It isn't fulfilling for anyone involved.

Better bot lane in lane wins, and the loser gets understandably flamed. I say understandably because it is beyond frustrating, to know that your efforts are made futile by another player's mistakes. You aren't friends with this person, there is no way of telling them how to play or what to do next in the game so it doesn't happen again without the person getting defensive and calling you toxic. And that isn't that person playing the victim's fault either, they probably get flamed in 50% of the games they play poorly, and barely even praised in the 50% they perform well. Why? Because it is more of a relief to win than it is a joy for people when they feel like they are one of the 4 people along for the gamble of which ADC can do better.
