Hey man.
It is okay to be in Bronze IV. You can't reasonably expect to start off your ranked experience at an average skill level. There is quite a lot to know about the game.
Instead of saying things like, "about 5 of those I screwed up on", look for the mistakes that you made in every game. Even the best players don't play perfectly. They make small (sometimes large) mistakes. Over the long term, your wins will come from making fewer mistakes than your opponents. In the short term, variance can result in winning or losing streaks that are not consistent with your actual skill level. Having a positive mental reaction to a win and a negative reaction to a loss is not productive. The real question is did you play well during that game relative to how well you want to play.
I was Silver last season and got placed in Bronze IV this season due to bad placements (3-7). I have made plenty of mistakes in the 40 ranked games I have played this season. So far I have made it to Bronze I.
I have been keeping notes on my performance. If you would like to see an example of the mistakes I have identified in my own play, you can look at this spreadsheet where I have been keeping notes.
