One year has past since Riot deleted Dominion
And we still haven't been able to play it again in the rotating queue.

And in that one year, I played more Definitely Not Dominion than I ever played Dominion.

There's a solution to this that I think everyone would feel okay about.
Friday, Saturday, Sunday, Monday would be the RQ for Summoner's Rift (with the occasional Hexakill thrown in).
Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday would be the RQ for the Crystal Scar, rotating on a weekly basis between Ascension, Dominion, DnD, and whatever other new mode Riot might create for the map.
Unless you've only got time to play on the Weekend and you like whatever mode isn't available on the weekend.
Behold the combined power of scarcity and actual advertisement!
But, no, really, what did you like better about DefNotDom? There were a few changes that worked well (e.g. more appreciable center objective, minion pushing changes), but many of the changes seemed significantly worse to me (e.g. game pacing, lack of alternate objectives).
I think that my big draw to DnD was that characters who could move quickly from point A to point B let you sneak into the power up near the enemy fountain and take it before they could do anything about it.
I'd play a lot of Twisted Fate, my wife would play a lot of Quinn, and we'd get in and take it before the enemy could react. What I remember as a high point beyond that was trying to defend that power up. (And that trying to kill that one Shaco that keep stealing the base closest to ours and getting away with it)
Fighting over control points was still meh, even fighting King of the Hill for the center power up was meh. It was mostly defending/stealing that powerful objecting out from under their nose the was fun.
(Side note: I think that 'very special skill set' attribute has been something I've loved about Nexus Siege and Bloodmoon as well. It's an excuse to completely break the mold on what character you want to play)
Fair enough. Standard play was what I was considering, but I can certainly see how DefNotDom felt better for objective sniping.
And in that one year, I played more Definitely Not Dominion than I ever played Dominion.
Why the fuck would you play an unfun, zombified husk of a once-decent gamemode?
Ew, that game mode sucked.
Can we please just get dominion back as a permanet game mode with ranked.
TT players will love it. The bots will finally all go back to another queue!
heh its been that long already....dominion icon users unite! We should do this every year?
Also still waiting for a Dominion Ward Skin, would insta-buy.
Took me a while to get the joke.
It isn't a joke. It's a fact.
We aren't counting Definitely Not Dominion?
They changed too much about it for it to be considered #######Assuming we were, I just got the joke too though
We aren't counting Definitely Not Dominion?
Definitely Not.
The best way I can explain it so a Rift player would understand.
DnD is about as similar to Dominion as Summoner's Rift with no neutral monsters/jungle would be to Rift. It completely changes the dynamic of the map.
Congratulations
It's cause of the New Client. Look how long it took for URF to make it's way back on.

Could be.
I was kinda hoping Riot would do something for the one year anniversary.
Has it really been that long already?
Jeez, I feel old :/
