Maybe everyone already knew this, but

You can knock the second part of Ornn ult anywhere in 360 degrees, so you can summon it from the opposite direction of your enemies if you wanna catch them by surprise (obviously forgoing the first damage and slow for the surprise factor)

Considering how telegraphed it normally is, this is a really good trick to have available.

In theory I probably knew it, but it never occurred to me to use it this way.

Yeah I never thought of using it like that XD. Just consider applying brittle enough work in my mind that even if I miss, I at least applied brittle.

Yeah using the full ult in the "right" direction definitely has more potential, but sometimes you wanna sacrifice potential for reliability - kinda like using a closer range Sion ult, and a lot like using the first part of Talon's ult to get in on squishies but giving up the damage.

I don't think doing it this way is always right, but I'm sure it's sometimes right.

Yeah that's true :P

Actually I haven't played Ornn in a while and I never thought to check when I did: does your ult have a fixed range (on the first cast) or can you start it closer to you if you want? I assume it's fixed, but it would be...interesting if it wasn't.

This is true and good, but typically not necessary as you'll want to hit your primary target by the first part of the spell as well, so you'll usually also be knocking it forwardish.

Still, I can imagine situations where you might do this.
