I love the new dynamic que, but ever since I hit gold I'm restricted from playing with friends. I feel like gold fives and playing plat ones is a bigger disparity than between gold five and bronze one or two. I think you should be limited to 8 ranks instead of the one tier apart. so intead of 6-10 difference a standard 8 across the board.
Im sorry you feel this way...but the competitive balance is much healthier with the current restrictions.
Theres normals that don't have that restriction.
In the interests of competitive health I feel like if anything the gap should be made smaller rather than wider though, or even be made based on mmr instead of rank. That way if theres one of those weird accounts with diamond mmr despite being technically in bronze, they could still queue with their diamond comrades, and similarly smurf accounts intended to boost people and other sketchy play tactics would quickly become non-viable as the smurfs MMR outpaces the not-so-good players.
