The new League of Legends Client consumes way too much resources & FPS

The new Client consumes too much uneccesary resources from the PC. The problem with this client is not only that it consumes too much resources but it also stays open even when the match starts while the old one was closing and it re-opened after it finished so now it's like you are running Adobe After Effects on the backround or any other of these hard-consuming programs while trying to be in the map and it is inconvnient. This solution works with closing the client while inside but it has to be re-opened every time the match ends which is tiring.

Even with the "close client during game" ticked, the game is still highly unoptimised compared to its predecessor.

I used to be able to run the game with medium to high setting (yes, on the new summoner's rift, until right before the old client is retired) with stable 60FPS. I had high setting texture, low or medium shadow, I could turn on character-inking, I could even turn on vsync and faced no issues whatsoever. They really weren't kidding to say that the game is literally run-able with 2 toasters connected in series (I kid, but you get the point).

And now, to play this game, I have to use low settings, turn off many things, the shadow is off altogether on my comp now and texture setting goes to low. And the FPS is 60 at base, but it drops to 40s as soon as there's any action on the screen. In teamfight it's even worse, it can drop to 20s. That's real bad when compared to the old edition where it was flat out better performance wise.

Let's not even mention the post-game loading if you have the "close client during game" ticked. It takes about a minute to load into the post game chat. That's really, really bad. It's even worse where at one point they actually fixed it to around 20 seconds in one of the recent patches, but nope, it's back to one minute or 2 now. Sure, re-opening the client takes time, but let's all be real, how much stuff do you think the League clients need to do during launch, and even if there's a shit ton of stuff can't you just load the part where it matters and then load the rest of it behind the scene or after the scoreboard?

Please optimise the new client. This is really annoying.

There's the "close client during game" option. Takes an eternity or two for it to load, but it helps.

Even with this feature i've noticed performance issues that never happened with the old client. Additionally they need to reduce the time it takes to reopen the client. I would vastly prefer a version with even less bells and whistles. (Yes I have the low res option selected) I want functionality, not needlessly pretty effects on a client simply there as a gateway to getting into games.

I find when I use this feature of close the client during game, the game is still laggy with low fps. During some team fights it drops below 10 for me.

Yeah, I don't know if it's my pc sucking (most likely) or they've done something with the game; but I teamfight on <10fps, sometimes reaching levels of 4. And that's why I main Twitch. So I can stand still and kill things :)

Try running it with lower graphics settings and using the option to close client automatically while in game (acts as old client did) and hopefully that will help!

i wish i could get rid of that crappy client it only makes the game lag, it might be better visually but practically its a lot worse than the old one

I'm having an issue where the client is fine for like 30 minutes. Then after a game client sound starts "tearing" or something which is so annoying that I have to restart the client or mute the sound. Client becomes a bit laggy too. After client restart it's fine for like 30 minutes again (everything goes to hell usually after a game).

I have a pretty decent PC (i7, gtx 970, 16gb ram), but I noticed if I keep the client open for too long/if I play one game after another without closing it, it gets really laggy and choppy (doesnt seem to actually hurt my in game performance though). I think they pushed it live when it was still in what should be an alpha state.

Never has a single issue with the new client, been using it since they first released it for testing.

I have a GTX 970 and I get 100 FPS on Rust. LoL is lagging terribly during team fights. I used to run 250 FPS on average. I don't even get enough for my refresh rate anymore. Actually unplayable.

I ran the Hextech repair tool numerous times on different occasions. Even did a clean install. I have looked everywhere to see if there is something I can do on my end but this is only occuring in league. Ever see Trundle moonwalk to q someone? its funny the first time and thats it.
