Question on Yuumi

This is a simple question, and it may be dumb, but I want to ask it.

For the purposes of poking in lane, attacking towers, inhibitors and epic monsters like dragon or baron, does Yuumi's base auto attack damage do more damage than the adaptive damage that You and Me! gives to her target?

Right now, I use You and Me! to give ardent censor buff, then hop off so we're both hitting for more, but I stay on if it isn't safe or I need to smash abilities. Once the ability is maxed, or my adc is big, I stay on all of the time. Especially with ability-based champions with bad gap closers/escapes like Jhin.

Her auto attack damage will be better for autoing towers most of the game until it is eventually exceeded by the adaptive bonus given to champions. This is wholly based on the champion you attach to so generally speaking in most cases it is better just to auto the tower yourself.

The real issue is weather or not you can get in a single auto without instantly dieing. Unless your playing on bronze or lower or just against a support that got carried most of their games they are going to land a stun on you: a single stun from a leona, hook from a blitz, hook from naut, stun from a morg, stun from a lux, stun from a zyra, stun from brand, etc, etc will mean instant under 3 second death a majority of the time. And that support is going to wait with that hook, stun, silence, so that the second u pop off to auto and proc your passive they can bop you for a free kill. Let's not mention that if your adc does die your pretty much guaranteed to be a double kill, especially after laning phase, in the event of a jg gank or during a skirmish. They thought by calling nerfs "buffs" players would be tricked. My w/r on Yuumi pre last 2 patches that nerfed her was 75-80% its now hovering at 59% post recent changes over hundreds of games. On top of that removing the zoomies charges, and adding the 5 second stun cd took 90% of the fun and outplay potential away from Yuumi...I still have team mates trying to tp with me on and i'm like "yeah they nerfed that" my team mates reply is usually "wtfffffff why?!?! that's bs" I'm done honestly, i'll return when the client is fixed...maybe.
