Ranked inactivity Notice.

Been playing since season 4 and this is the very first time that I had ever got a notice like this... This year is my first year as gold and platinum. I never knew that you can lose LP for being inactive on this ranking! Does one single game cover that up? Cause I'm not too into ranked till the new season starts. I wish I didn't delete the notice but it mentions something about 8 days... so in 8 days I'll start losing LP? I don't have to worry than since new season starts less than that?

I've been inactive for 3 whole months before a year ago when I was in sliver. I never got a notice like that when I'm hard stuck there. Platinum however gives you that notice for just a month of inactive. I don't think low elo gets that.

Decay to due inactivity is only for ranks above gold, so plat+, which is why you wouldn't have noticed it until now.

A single game is sufficient to delay decay for another 28 days in plat/diamond (things are a bit different for master+). That said, decay is disabled once preseason starts, so if the season end is before you decay, you don't actually need to play another game if you don't want to.

I just got it 20 minutes ago. So I don't have to worry about it and can just go straight to normal?

It's a little over 6 days and 5 hours to end of season at time of posting, so if you have longer than that before you decay, then you're fine.

You'll get reminded of the decay on login until end of season or you play another game in the relevant queue though, so there might be an argument to play it just to get the warning to stop showing.
