What's wrong with NA week 2 in world's group stage?

Seriously, this feels like it happens way too often... NA teams just suddenly seems weak in groups when week 2 hits. The chances of Immortals getting out of groups is pretty high chances but they lose all 3 games and one tiebreaker. Really? Does this sound familiar from the past years? I have a feeling the 0-10 NA going to happen again OR only one NA team made it out this year.

Who knows and honestly, who gives a s$it at this point. 7 years watching this and it's like 5 years too many.

I am quite sure that at least C9 will be successful. They have looked really solid in pretty much all their games. However IMT choke was a surprise for me

Just enjoy the good matches or when champions that you like/want to learn are being played.

IMT did an amazing job inspiring the down and crushed Fnatic to rise back up and go a record breaking 4-1

IMT choked, we still haven't seen if C9 and TSM are prepared this year for the 2nd week. After all, both teams were part of the infamous 0-10 week 2, and I doubt they want that again

Nothing really. You can say that it's because in week 2 you have to play three games in one day so if you have a problem to start it is difficult to fix, but that's not it. The problem is that people take a decent performance in week one, where the NA teams lost games against the Koreans and pulled out some clutch performances to win games they should have lost or were 50/50, and are surprised when that doesn't always continue into week 2.

Immortals lost convincingly to Longzhu despite having the best start they could have hoped for. They beat Gigabyte Marines. And they won a game they should have lost against fnatic. Immortals should have gone into week 2 at 1-2 . The difference between 2-1 and 1-2 is obviously just one game, but we act as though one is dominant and the other was getting smashed. Immortals week was very similar to the week that most NA teams seem to have at worlds. You get smashed by a Korean team and you beat the other two teams with varying levels of play. Maybe win a game you shouldn't and play decently against a far inferior opponent. Pretty typical stuff.

This is vastly different from how C9 and TSM's week ones played out.

It’s because NA is bad and after the clown fiesta week 1 other teams, knowing now how bad NA are, just attack and kill with confidence.

Lmao

This is why the smart members reserve the trash talk until week 2 ends.

I was not expecting FNC to go 4-0 but good for them. GG
