Redemption and how I deal with playing against it

For the most part when playing against teams that rush and build redemption they excel in team fights. Me on the other hand I prefer the raw power of split pushing. I have been having a harder time split pushing lately though because redemption has been forcing a lot of 5v5 team fights. The way I found to deal with this is as a support have a good amount of cc to stall fights and peel when necessary to waste the enemy time grouped up. You want to build banner and zz rot for maximum split power in side lanes. If you can convince a second person on your team to build one of these items your split push will become over whelming as long as you don't get ACE'd in a team fight. A good champion or at least I prefer to do this on is Bard with 45% cdr along with frost queen for picks and escapes. Reason being Bard is good for stalling the game out until your team scales back up and can easily distract the enemy team with good escapes in his kit. Not saying this is a perfect counter play but it does force the enemy to have to deal with side lanes and helps a bit. I know this item combo isn't new but it has fallen off and hasn't been used a lot lately. Hope this idea/tip helps you guys.
