Feeding Vs AFK which is worst and why one goes more punished then another

So my question is why is it ok for other players to intent feed and laugh but if I choose to not want to play because of their behavior I am punished for going AFK? This is a ridiculous pattern and 50% of my games have some sort of AFK in ranked and I say maybe a little over 50% of the people who went AFK had intent fed the ones who choose to stay just keep feeding. Yet I only received one notification saying someone was punished and had to do with the person saying I should kill/hang myself. So why is it the systems aren't picking up trolls who feed and laugh in chat like it's ok? I'll be honest people intent killing their self and saying it's just a game doesn't make it right or even fun. They see it gets on your nerves so they do it even more and the enemy could care less as long as they win. I want to hear from Riot on this.

Intentional feeding is harder to differentiate from unintentional feeding. Riot has some methods that work to identify things like multiple boots, all tears, etc, but some others still get through.

AFK is clear cut. You are either connected to the game, playing it, or you're not.

Or youre standing in base moving every few minutes to not get kicked Kappa

I just won a game though with an Alistar on enemy team for my 5th game today who just would run to lane and ether AFK there and wait to die or start a fight and die back to back. Honestly wasn't fun.

gamethrowing* is the worst

feeding is like great we got one, ugh, games ruined.

afk, sigh remake or open mid, nothing we can do.

but gamethrowing is someone actively trying to hurt the team to entice his own team mates and to piss you off, while also losing the game.

I just don't get how because it wasn't said in all chat they were doing it on purpose it goes unjust. The system clearly picks up if you were AFK why can't it scan for certain things that pinpoint intent feeding? I'm to to the point I'm starting a study of games to show how many I played in rank. It will show how many ranked, how many games I won, how many games I lost, how many games had an AFK, and how many have an intent feeder. So Far I'm at 4 games total just today, 2 won, 2 lost, 2 AFK, 1 Intent feed game. I plan on doing this for a while to show how bad the punishment system is.

because then wheres the line between whos actually bad at league and just didn't put in any commands... whos new and learning... what rank cutoff before you should know better...

its too much of a gray line to say intentionally feeding vs theres a rengar/shaco in the brush waiting for you to walk down your lane, you are in fact not safe behind your t2 turret....

I mean for the people who type in chat that they admit to trolling or feeding that there should be a system that scans for those phrases or key words. I see plenty of times people admit since draft that they are trolling and keep their word in the game.

Feeding, one time I was in a premade of 3 and we had a lee sin top who was in a pre-made with the other guy. They were really salty and then the Lee started blaming our jungle for his 0/2 score 6 minutes in, we defended our friend so he started intentionally feeding. It got really bad because when we could finally ff they both declined....so we kinda just wandered and let the enemy take our nexus. BEST PART, in the end we reported him and he got chat restriction, but apparently one of us also got chat restriction even though we did nothing. GG norms!

See and this is the thing that also is unfair a duo or group can just target a person that isn't part of their group and flame them and since they have more people that person who tried gets punished. This game is mentally intense enough as it is. You dedicate 30 minutes plus on average in a solo queue game. So when people intent feed or flame you and it doesn't go punished it just makes you not want to play more. I think the punishment system is lacking a major overhaul.

There is still also a gray line in AFK situations; just recently I had to AFK and then DC because I had to go to the police station for an investigation. I told my team and everyone on all chat, didn't stop my team from flaming me (they were flaming me before hand for "being bad"). Guess what, I'm not banned yet.

Real life > A game of League, even ranked. If something turns out, real life should take utmost priority.

Of course, those that AFK with malicious intent can also say that they have an emergency and I guess the system won't flag them if they weren't being toxic beforehand, but that's another subject.

Yeah I would respect that reason for going AFK. It would suck for the lost but I could respect important things over a lost in a game. It's not like I was performing a LCS try out. The AFK for just being malicious like you said really gets under my skin. I thought we all made a 20 minute plus commitment as strangers to try and work together. Not just quit for various reasons.
