Is it the mage patch yet?

Hi guys,

So i did a post a week or so back about the "mage patch" and commenting on the focus clearly being to AD champions and the community pointed out that riot were doing an 8.13b. So my question is simple, are we NOW seeing the "mage changes" that riot said were coming in 8.14?

Yes we are still on 8.13b. No the changes on the pbe are for 8.14. No, 8.14 isn't coming until next week because 8.13 is a three week patch. They do it every season. Also, as predicted by your previous thread, there are a multitude of mages getting tuned.

Ahri Cassiopeia Zoe Viktor Velkoz Swain Karma And Corki is technically closer to a mage than an ADC. He deals more magic damage than AD damage and is usually played mid

Yeah, you're really a confusing guy... I commented on the 8.14 PBE material and you said it was 8.13b. Now you're saying that the PBE stuff is actually 8.14 which include again more AD changes then mage anyway, but also the stuff you originally said were for 8.13b.

So which is it? Is the PBE currently 8.13b or 8.14? Is 8.13 taking up 3 weeks (which would be from the last patch until now) and 8.14 taking up 1 week (to be released next week), or are we going to see more changes added on with a release that is in 2 weeks time?

Really wished you'd make up your mind... :S

Also please don't try and list those changes and pretend that they are the mage balancing changes riot promised. Half of those aren't even going to reach live because they are so trash, though the nerfs no doubt will lol

How is this remotely confusing? I think you just have comprehension problems and I'm sorry you do; school had to have been difficult for you.

This is a comprehensive list of changes on the pbe in the last two weeks. See the area that all have,"Hotfixed to live on 7/3" in big bold, red letters? Those are the changes that were made for 8.13b. I know, this is difficult for you to grasp so I will explain it as clearly as I can. The date is 7/12. 12 is bigger than 3 so that means that 12 comes later than 3. That means that 7/3 has already passed. This means that any changes added on the pbe after 7/3(which include all of the mages I just listed as well as changes to fizz and Elise and nerfs to multiple AD champions which will, in the long run help the struggling mages) are intended for parch 8.14.

This is not confusing or hard.

yep, on it daily

You're missing the point... AGAIN, there are more changes for AD then the mages the patch was meant to be for, AGAIN most mages are missing from this, and AGAIN this gets released next week meaning 8.14 has had a WEEK of PBE work, showing that most of the 8.13 to 8.14 period has been dominated by AD changes as I stated in my original thread that you said "be patient" to.

This is not confusing or hard.

Nope, it's not confusing, it IS however hard to understand why you cannot see the irony in your defending a "Mage" patch that includes LESS mage changes then anything else! Even on your list of 8 we've got one ADC, an assassin, and 2 nerfs! Where's the Syndra, Orianna, Annie and Malzahar changes they've mentioned countless times? Lissandra they at least are showing progress on, but that's not expected to ship for another month or so.

The POINT my friend is that in a MAGE patch that MAGE players have waited for for MONTHS, Riot have one again decided that AD changes are a priority. The game NEEDS Malz and Annie back in midlane, it NEEDS Syndra and Ori as counters to them, it NEEDS these champions to restore the balance that has died in the game right now. If you cannot see this then I'd suggest YOU have comprehension problems and might want to work more on that then talking down to others in the community.
