Fiora's power curve
I think I figured out the main problem is fiora. Her power curve is totally wacked out. She's nigh unbeatable and oppressive in lane if played right, being an extreme counter pick to most, and, as the LCS demonstrates, survivable in the worst counterpicks.
Most lane bullies fall off late game though. She only scales and scales. She is the only lane bully that can then keep going on into late game.
This is her problem. There's no point at the game where you can say "fiora's weak now, let's abuse this".
